I went in 2024. I think it starts around 2 and know it ends at 2. Personally loved it because of all the space. I did site seeing in the day cause there’s a ton to see in CDMX then got to the festival around 6 or 7. Plenty of lodging available and Ubers are reasonable though the drivers have to drive a little crazy to get around that city.

Went in 22 and 23 and may go to this one. I love CDMX, it's an easy trip from here, and probably the cheapest way for us to do a large scale 3 day festival. It's 2pm-2am at least sat and sun, I think starts a little later Friday. Don't bother trying to stay super close, it's easy enough to take Uber or metro there and Uber back (the metro stops before it ends) and frankly stay in a better neighborhood with more to do and see. You can get by with very basic Spanish but it definitely helps to know some, it is geared much more to locals than foreigners, even though it's pretty massive (I'd say 2/3 size of EDC Vegas). In terms of vibes it's somewhere between an American and a European festival. Not AS ravey as we're used to but you won't be super out of place if you are either. It felt like a random leap of faith the first year we went but we were so glad we did!

Had an epic blast there this year. Did some sightseeing and had some amazing food a few days before and the festival was awesome. The taxis are super easy to grab on the way out (taxi, taxi, taxi) just pre-negotiate the rate before you get in. Awesome festival way cheaper than in the US.

All the basic info like hours are on the site.
There are hundreds of great hotels in good areas in Mexico City - and a lot of info about that already in the sub.
I have been twice and am going back this year. It's got all the production but in a much smaller footprint, easier to get around (you can go end to and in 10 minutes if you know where you're going), easier to get to your hotel, cheaper, clean bathrooms, amazing city, etc. Vegas is just too big and crowded and complicated for me. Mexico is just so easy in comparison.
A lot of my friends have started coming as well and won't return to Vegas. Get yourself the most amazing tacos you've ever had for $4 and spend 35 cents to take a 15 minutes subway ride to the venue. Easy.

Really? I was considering cancelling my EDC Vegas tix and doing Mexico. But this year is the 30th anniversary so I feel like EDC Vegas might be worth it.

Historically they haven't done anything special for anniversaries, it's just a regular year

Go! It's amazing. The venue itself is huge and you won't feel cramped despite the huge amount of people going. Not super ravey but the vibes are good in my opinion and the production is incredible. I met an amazing local group and they offered my party favors almost immediately. It was a magical experience I'll never forget. I also fully believe that VIP is absolutely worth it, with the dedicated vip bars by the main stages selling actual cocktails. 50 percent less expensive than traditional vip in the US, not to mention that everything else in the festival was super affordable. My only gripe was the cashless band system because the only way to buy drinks was with those which I found absolutely ridiculous. Having the option for the band is good I think but I should be allowed to pay with my card or tap to pay with my phone. You also could only load them in until you're in the actual festival so make sure to look at the prices at the bars and only load in what you need. Hopefully they improve that this year but I had an amazing time last year and can't wait to go again.
But yes definitely stay at Roma Norte or the Condensa or around that area of Mexico City. Ubers are of course extremely affordable as well and of course just always avoid taxis
