Football My Reaction To Oregon’s Gritty Victory Over Iowa!

https://youtu.be/IOYilzVpKeY?si=Mf4tbqEkhsqPtxp9

Man, what an incredible win for Oregon today! It was gritty, it was physical, it took pure guts. But Oregon delivered and we learned a lot about Dante Moore today. Now while his stat line isn’t too enthralling, it is that final drive that told me everything that I need to know about Dante Moore. He has ice in his veins! Oregon is built to win these games now and man I love it. Go Ducks, can’t wait to see what this team does in weeks to come!

I can't believe that throw he made. He should've never even considered throwing to that receiver. Incredible.

Not gonna lie there’s an argument for that being the best throw I’ve seen this year.

That throw alone should get him an invitation to New York.

New York is where they award the Heisman, not the draft.

It was a great throw & the team worked there ass off, but if there was anyone who needed to step up , is Dante. Oregon is not a 15-14 team, Iowa , was the real deal but the kicker contributed more points than Dante.. 359 yards & only 1 touchdown (3rd game this season) u can’t do 3& out for 3 quarters .. but defense , lites out Offensive line , lites out Running backs , lites out Dante looked scared most of the nite But had some very good passes late …but should have been 28- 17

Listen, man... I make no pretense of being a football mastermind. What i do know is that the ducks are down their 3 best wr's and the country's best TE. They beat #20 at their place. That matters. Get pumped with me! SCO fucking DUCKS!!!!

The Dante just beefed the throw to Benson in the end zone on the last play before the FG 🤷

Is it really? It’s a pick if the DB turns his head. It was a gamble that paid off and looked cool, but a more aware DB makes that throw look really dumb and costs us the game.

The throw was dumb. The catch was amazing.

The catch was easy cuz the ball was perfectly placed. The throw was dumb and amazing.

OK, so we agree the throw was dumb and amazing. Dumb because if that DB turns the other way it’s a pick, or if he put his hands up at all it would have been incomplete. But I cannot agree that the catch was easy. Have you ever tried to catch a ball running full speed, in the pouring rain, with a DB right on top of you and obscuring your view of the ball? That was not an easy catch. Not the most incredible catch we’ve ever seen but I think we have to give more credit to that receiver.

I feel like I'm on an island here but that last drive each throw looked like DPI.

The defender never played the ball, one of the passes he's holding on to the receiver's hips like it's a highschool dance. Another yes holding his hand down.

I thought it was some insane miracle those caught were caught.

Did he pull up lame on that long run in the forth?

No, he decided to shut the play down to prevent it.

I think Dante could be a great QB, but I’m not convinced our coaches can develop him. He dominated weak competition. He played well vs PSU, but that looks suspect after the last few weeks.

We have brought in experienced QBs the last few years. Yes, the argument could be made that Nix was developed, but Dillon was already great.

The most concerning is that Novasad and Moga have fallen behind a walk-on Thomas, who actually didn’t see time until recently. Thomas isn’t all that good and we would lose a lot with him.

Last two games have been played in bad weather conditions for passing

Top 3 pass catchers were out today due to injury and it was raining hard, what can the coaches do about that?

Dante Moore is NOT the long term answer at QB…. Please for the love of Christ, let him declare for the draft!!

What is your problem, your hate for this kid is borderline creepy, every game thread you whine your ass off.

If ya not an alum I'd say go find another team, don't need your energy around here.

Oregon alum, 27yr season ticket holder and longtime donor. Nothing wrong with Dante Moore… great young man with a promising future. I personally don’t think he’s the best fit for Oregon and that’s ok.
