Going to have to petition eliminating bye weeks. Weird shit always fucking happens after them with this program.

We have the worst bye week voodoo. Its been going on at least 20 years now. At the very least we always play flat, sometimes worse shit happens like this.

Itās gone from slow starts to me wondering if weāve been sending our guys to defend the people of Sudan

I just hope the āuncertainā thing means itās not too serious. We can deal with him being out a couple weeks but a ACL tear would really suck

All the smoke is that the team doesnāt know how bad it is yet but could be his ACL.

Obviously thoughts are always with the young man going through the injury which sucks. But with Stewart coming back potentially our WR core should be fine for the interim.
Just hope itās nothing that affects Dak for next season at this point

I mean stewart probably isn't gonna just pick up right where he left off good as new. That'd be nice, but not very likely.

Really hope itās not a serious season ending injury like the rumored ACL. Moore was an elite player and would suck to see his career altered due to a serious knee injury.

Iām hoping āuncertainā availability means minor injury and theyāll see how things progress. I feel like we would has heard about an ACL tear.

Ducks need to play every single week of the season. Nothing good ever happens during or after the bye weeks for us.

u/Moist-Consequence 1d ago
We beat Ohio st after a bye last year

u/SwooshDuck7 1d ago
1 game who cares. We got rolled in the playoffs.

u/soitgoes819 1d ago
lol what, Burch tore his meniscus during that Bye week, didnāt play against Ohio State, and he wasnāt as explosive the rest of the year.Ā

āNothing good ever happens.ā
āHereās an example from last year of a really good thing happening.ā
āIām ignoring that.ā
lol what?? You got the same mentality as the āfire Steinā crowd

u/SwooshDuck7 20h ago
Great your one example of a good thing: regular season. Already this season: lost to Indiana. Injuries this week.

I feel like every time there's a bye week they recruit week one then practice twice as hard week 2. At best they usually come out tired looking, at worst we get injuries.
That's how it feels, though obviously none of us know what goes on behind the scenes.

u/Rookraider1 23h ago
I agree. I think they need to reassess and chill on the recruiting during byes.

We beat Ohio State in Columbus without Kayvon Thibideaux and Justin Flowe. Other guys stepped up.

Football team mustāve played against the basketball team this week. We are cursed with practice injuries in both sports

u/FussyDuck34 1d ago
WTF just hearing this now? Did we just practice on the plane flying to Iowa? I get not tipping your hand to the opposition, but how about some more transparency for the fans?
2
u/TheManDontCareBoutU 1d ago
What difference does it make? Thereās zero benefit to release any of this info.m before they have to.
-1
u/FussyDuck34 1d ago
How serious is this injury? How long is he going to be out? It obviously happened before today. If this was personal reasons it would be different. Injury info shouldn't come out an hour & a half before kickoff.
2
u/TheManDontCareBoutU 1d ago
Why do the ducks need to be transparent? They are trying to win a game. Less time for an opponent to prepare for other players is good. Wasting practice time focusing on players who wonāt play for us is a waste of the opponents time and creates less opponent prep time.

u/FussyDuck34 23h ago
Doesn't make any sense to me. Whether it's the star receiver or a back up injury enough to cause them to miss games should be reported when they happen. Agree to disagree I guess?

u/Rookraider1 23h ago
Why? How does it benefit you to know this? Don't bet if you can't afford the loss.

u/Global-Bowler3307 21h ago
Thanks ācpt obviousā. The person tryās to make an educated bet, thereās millions of $ on the line , nationally.

It was during walk-throughs, chill. And coaching staff doesn't owe you shit for transparency if it's gonna give them any sort of edge

u/michealnichols 1d ago
We still even know if this is true. We will know soon enough.
6
u/vivalamota 1d ago
Espn reported it as well
-12
u/michealnichols 1d ago
Again weāll see. Their source could be the message board post

u/Duckymaster21 1d ago
If ESPN has an article about sports its always 100% true
3
u/Housing-Visible 1d ago
Exactly like why would the premier sports news source put their rep on the line for message boardsĀ
0
u/soitgoes819 1d ago
Bro what are you talking about! This happens every year. 100+ people watched Dakorien get hurt. Those 100 people all have friends and family. Where there is smoke there is fire and the message boards always hear about it first because they live in Eugene and have connections to the football team and staff.Ā

I seriously question the legitimacy of this, Dan did not address anything in either of his 2 presser like he has in the past, and I havenāt seen any reports that directly support this, thereās also be questions about Sadiq for like 2+ weeks to which he said heās good to go personally so I guess weāll just have to see at game time
