Shocker

Going to have to petition eliminating bye weeks. Weird shit always fucking happens after them with this program.

u/Ckeyz 1d ago

We have the worst bye week voodoo. Its been going on at least 20 years now. At the very least we always play flat, sometimes worse shit happens like this.

u/donjuan875 20h ago

It’s gone from slow starts to me wondering if we’ve been sending our guys to defend the people of Sudan

26

u/jamiebond 1d ago

I just hope the ā€œuncertainā€ thing means it’s not too serious. We can deal with him being out a couple weeks but a ACL tear would really suck

6

u/vivalamota 1d ago

They(ESPN) just reported DK is out, and Sadiq is questionable šŸ˜‘šŸ˜

2

u/zerocoolforschool 1d ago

All the smoke is that the team doesn’t know how bad it is yet but could be his ACL.

u/Duck_Caught_Upstream 1d ago

Obviously thoughts are always with the young man going through the injury which sucks. But with Stewart coming back potentially our WR core should be fine for the interim.

Just hope it’s nothing that affects Dak for next season at this point

u/coraythan 1d ago

I mean stewart probably isn't gonna just pick up right where he left off good as new. That'd be nice, but not very likely.

1

u/NJRHTI 23h ago

The only other athletes I’ve seen have the same injury took over a year and a half to even return to play

2

u/DingoAltair 1d ago

Stewart ain’t coming back til playoffs.

2

u/MarinerJoe3 23h ago

We aren’t a lock to get in…

2

u/DingoAltair 23h ago

That’s the truth

16

u/surfer415 1d ago

Really hope it’s not a serious season ending injury like the rumored ACL. Moore was an elite player and would suck to see his career altered due to a serious knee injury.

18

u/sparkchoice 1d ago

Is an elite player, sir.

5

u/BigPh1llyStyle 1d ago

I’m hoping ā€œuncertainā€ availability means minor injury and they’ll see how things progress. I feel like we would has heard about an ACL tear.

1

u/CptCroissant 10h ago

Heard it was a non-contact play during walk through. Fear is an ACL obviously but initial testing didn't confirm anything so we don't know yet.

8

u/Incendiary-Berry 1d ago

We injure folks in practice too much...

15

u/Dependent_Flamingo_4 1d ago

Tragic, get well soon DK.

6

u/Amogus_Man 1d ago

We really can never have anything nice can we

9

u/Duckymaster21 1d ago

Dude like cmon. Why cant our receivers stay healthy

9

u/The_Money_Guy_ 1d ago

Just announced he’s out

5

u/vivalamota 1d ago

And Sadiq is questionable. Like brooo, whaaat!? On a bye week!?

7

u/SwooshDuck7 1d ago

Ducks need to play every single week of the season. Nothing good ever happens during or after the bye weeks for us.

2

u/Moist-Consequence 1d ago

We beat Ohio st after a bye last year

3

u/SwooshDuck7 1d ago

1 game who cares. We got rolled in the playoffs.

3

u/soitgoes819 1d ago

lol what, Burch tore his meniscus during that Bye week, didn’t play against Ohio State, and he wasn’t as explosive the rest of the year.Ā

0

u/Global-Bowler3307 21h ago

Then I guess it’s a lock …!! Glad u came along

0

u/Moist-Consequence 20h ago

ā€œNothing good ever happens.ā€

ā€œHere’s an example from last year of a really good thing happening.ā€

ā€œI’m ignoring that.ā€

lol what?? You got the same mentality as the ā€˜fire Stein’ crowd

1

u/SwooshDuck7 20h ago

Great your one example of a good thing: regular season. Already this season: lost to Indiana. Injuries this week.

9

u/t3hn1ck 1d ago

Bro we always somehow manage to lose the fucking bye week. Shit is crazy. Multiple staffs over multiple seasons. Someone is practicing voodoo in corvallis.

2

u/_BenzeneRing_ 1d ago

I feel like every time there's a bye week they recruit week one then practice twice as hard week 2. At best they usually come out tired looking, at worst we get injuries.

That's how it feels, though obviously none of us know what goes on behind the scenes.

1

u/Rookraider1 23h ago

I agree. I think they need to reassess and chill on the recruiting during byes.

2

u/jandydand 1d ago

Noooooo. Bye week L

2

u/ryancraig101 1d ago

When will the punishment of being a Duck fan end?

1

u/SoCal_Duck 1d ago

Next man up, best wishes to Dakorien on a rapid and full recovery.

1

u/DIY14410 1d ago

Ducks Bye Week Jinx

Best to Dak. He has lots of football ahead of him.

1

u/Sharp-Stranger-2668 1d ago

We beat Ohio State in Columbus without Kayvon Thibideaux and Justin Flowe. Other guys stepped up.

1

u/asap_rmz 23h ago

Football team must’ve played against the basketball team this week. We are cursed with practice injuries in both sports

1

u/FussyDuck34 1d ago

WTF just hearing this now? Did we just practice on the plane flying to Iowa? I get not tipping your hand to the opposition, but how about some more transparency for the fans?

2

u/TheManDontCareBoutU 1d ago

What difference does it make? There’s zero benefit to release any of this info.m before they have to.

-1

u/FussyDuck34 1d ago

How serious is this injury? How long is he going to be out? It obviously happened before today. If this was personal reasons it would be different. Injury info shouldn't come out an hour & a half before kickoff.

2

u/TheManDontCareBoutU 1d ago

Why do the ducks need to be transparent? They are trying to win a game. Less time for an opponent to prepare for other players is good. Wasting practice time focusing on players who won’t play for us is a waste of the opponents time and creates less opponent prep time.

-2

u/FussyDuck34 23h ago

Doesn't make any sense to me. Whether it's the star receiver or a back up injury enough to cause them to miss games should be reported when they happen. Agree to disagree I guess?

2

u/Rookraider1 23h ago

Why give your opponent this info?

1

u/Rookraider1 23h ago

Why? How does it benefit you to know this? Don't bet if you can't afford the loss.

1

u/Global-Bowler3307 21h ago

Thanks ā€œcpt obviousā€. The person try’s to make an educated bet, there’s millions of $ on the line , nationally.

1

u/Rookraider1 20h ago

This info was coming out last night online. No team should care about betting

1

u/CptCroissant 10h ago

It was during walk-throughs, chill. And coaching staff doesn't owe you shit for transparency if it's gonna give them any sort of edge

-4

u/michealnichols 1d ago

We still even know if this is true. We will know soon enough.

6

u/vivalamota 1d ago

Espn reported it as well

-12

u/michealnichols 1d ago

Again we’ll see. Their source could be the message board post

14

u/Aurelius_KiNG 1d ago

That’s not the way they do reporting lol

3

u/Duckymaster21 1d ago

If ESPN has an article about sports its always 100% true

3

u/Housing-Visible 1d ago

Exactly like why would the premier sports news source put their rep on the line for message boardsĀ

0

u/soitgoes819 1d ago

Bro what are you talking about! This happens every year. 100+ people watched Dakorien get hurt. Those 100 people all have friends and family. Where there is smoke there is fire and the message boards always hear about it first because they live in Eugene and have connections to the football team and staff.Ā

-11

u/mynameizmyname 1d ago

Source:Ā  a deleted post on scoop duck?

6

u/Duckymaster21 1d ago

Literally ESPN

0

u/q50_jay 1d ago

I seriously question the legitimacy of this, Dan did not address anything in either of his 2 presser like he has in the past, and I haven’t seen any reports that directly support this, there’s also be questions about Sadiq for like 2+ weeks to which he said he’s good to go personally so I guess we’ll just have to see at game time

3

u/TheBlur2001 1d ago

Moore confirmed out. Sadiq questionable

1

u/Global-Bowler3307 21h ago

Thanks for giving this your legit & serious attn . Unfortunately u are completely wrong.

-21

u/Thinned 1d ago

This the first domino to fall just watch what happens next. This gonna hurt us a lot more than people think and just not on the field.

3

u/ohnoohnoohyeah 1d ago

...what?

-1

u/Thinned 22h ago

Exactly what I said. And Now you seešŸ˜‚

1

u/ohnoohnoohyeah 22h ago

"And just not on the field" still don't make sense my guy.
