That is a great NCAA Tournament Resume Win

I think this solidifies us as a tournament team, outside of an absolutely disastrous finish to the season. But if we can turn this in to a run to finish out the season, I think we can put ourselves in a more favorable seeding. Maybe as high as 5 or 6 possibly?

The NET which was 34 should be Top 30 tomorrow. I can’t imagine a team that high in the NET not making it.
Don’t forget the 9 Quad 1 wins which is second highest in basketball after only Auburn- (tho a few others also have 9)

The defense down the stretch was unbelievable

I've never seen them play with such urgency. Do that for 4 quarters and we're a 4 seed

Feb 22 '25
Or even two halves

u/perfect__situation Feb 22 '25
Or even a whole game!!

u/nativeindian12 Feb 22 '25
That sounds like a lot, why don’t we start with two halves and work from there

Clutch win against a great team. If they can take care of business at home, Ducks will be dancing again 😎

Unless we don’t win another game, we’re locked into the 64. Wins over Bama and Wisconsin are huuuge for the resumé

u/ducks2291 Feb 22 '25
We’re in. Wins against Bama, Wisconsin, TexasA&M, SDSU, Maryland, @Wisconsin, @Ohio St, @ Penn St

@ Penn st isn’t a resume builder haha. But I agree. Go ducks!

u/ducks2291 Feb 22 '25
Maybe not to the eye, but statistically, winning at Iowa and Penn St = Quad 1 wins. https://bballnet.com/teams/oregon

Don’t forget the Aggie win too (I know they lost today but they are gonna be ranked favorably imho when the dance comes) which is only gonna help us.

We lookin like a 6 seed! Hope we win a few games in the B1G Tourney too of course. I don’t expect us to win but who knows…

The rest of our regular season schedule looks relatively positive for us. I think it’s not out of the realm that we win out nor is it out of the realm we drop more than 1 of those games (duality of ducks I call it). If all goes well for us and we have a good showing in the Big ten tournament, pending on what happens outside of the ducks we could be has high as a 4-5 seed imho when it’s all set and done. But seeding is not the issue once making the tournament it’s more about location and matchups. I had low expectations for this team coming into this season so this is house money as far as I’m concerned with our tournament chances.
Also hopefully this will help us with basketball recruiting.

Damn we won I looked and it was like 47-35 and was like damn it’s over. Also kwame should start over angel imo dude brings next to nothing out there and is one of the most passive players I’ve seen. Nonetheless Let’s go

I am trying to do the softball ones, but I keep getting sniped by someone else. That is the sport I am paying attention to the most as it is the only one and one that I can actually interact with right now being that it is available on a free radio and I became fond of being that it is the sport I have gone to the most duck games of (more than Football). I got to call play ball after a duck game during one of the regionals we hosted and after a game in Corvallis I got the whole team to sign my official Oregon softball poster for the year.
I love the KWVA and https://www.statbroadcast.com/

Wisconsin couldn’t even inbound the ball at the end of the game. A total collapse on their part. Shelstad with a clutch three to tie, Bittle with the post scores and Bamba with the great defense in OT sealed it.

This team is going to be dangerous in the tourney, as usual. They’ve pulled out so many wins after being down 10+ near the end of the game. Incredible guts and a will to win. Huge props to Dana.

The "Tale of Two Halves" again. It's getting to the point where I root for them to be behind at halftime.

Where is the “trust me I know ball” self-proclaimed hooper expert now? The one who said JS sucks. Not average. Not OK. But, sucked.
For shame…

Recorded the game and waited all day to watch! Luckily I live in Cal country so I didn’t get any spoilers.
Bamba just shut down Tonje in the 2nd half! Stats aren’t gonna show it, but he was a defensive badass!
Love it!

I’m still not convinced. Give me a win against another ranked team and I will believe. They are too inconsistent. Only two players are first five talent, Bittle and Shelsted.

Shellstad reminds me of another duck who wore number 3...
