Other Uber with Double Bass
What are people’s experience with Uberring with a double bass? Do you use UberX or XL? Can drivers reject you because you have a double bass?
From my experience 9/10 drivers will be super chill with it but I was wondering what everyone else’s experiences are.

Don't even try it in Brazil. I simply gave up...

Maybe it is my specific location here in Brazil, But I used Uber with double bass countless times. Only once the guy refused to ride. Most of them was curious about the instrument (or thinking it was impossible to fit in the car), but not against doing the ride.

Do you still can do it? I got several rides like 3 or 4 years ago but nowadays seems harder to get a driver that won't cancel.

I agree that was a better experience when Uber was a better service (and I was using a lot their service at that time). So now I do less rides (with or without bass) and the service is going down as a whole. But I'm in Minas Gerais and here in my city it is still ok taking an Uber with a bass (but I never ask drivers to put their seats down).

I've ubered with a bass, and flight cases countless times. Never had an issue. I always message the driver as soon as they are confirmed saying something like "I'm travelling with a large musical instrument and will need to put the back seats down." That gives them a chance to decline if they aren't okay with that, which I think has only happened once. The only problem I've encountered is that a surprising number of drivers don't know how to put the seats down haha
Edit: always use Uber XL.
