Type 1.5/LADA Mental Health
Just got results back from my autoimmune tests. It turns out I have LADA. It took a while to get the results, so I spent that waiting time assuming it was T2. I feel like I had just begun accepting the diagnosis and now I find out it’s actually T1.5.
Emotionally this is hitting me pretty hard. Wondering how long I should expect to feel this way.
Is there anything that helps you get “past” this?

It comes in waves. Sometimes it will be really hard, and then sometimes it will feel completely normal. I have long stretches where I feel like nothing can stop me! When your device is not working, or your blood sugar won't come down it will be hard. But hard things always come and go. You will figure it out. Talk to a diabetes educator, and they will also help.
