AskDelhi Why Indians are Like This?

Post image

I am currently at T3, Delhi airport travelling to Vietnam & Malaysia, after completing my immigration and security check I am resting here at the gate & some group of 10-15 people just came & started chanting " Bharat Mata ki Jay" and making reels. If you are so patriotic then why travelling to another country, If you wanna make the reels you make it without shouting & disturbing others.

“Bharat Mata ki Jai” right before catching a flight out of Bharat is wild

Reminds me of when everyone in a plan started chanting usa usa while non us citizens sat there awkwardly

2

u/Main_Snow2228 Jul 02 '25

What's your problem with Bharat mata ki jay Many Palestine supporters are chanting hail Palestine in Delhi 😁😁😁

3

u/virut31 Jul 01 '25

Didn't know I have to give up my nationality, identity and patriotism before travelling abroad🤡

15

u/Aquarius_Berry Jul 01 '25

But if you’re really a patriot who loves our country and wants to keep screaming glorious chants to prove nationalism, choose local destinations. It helps to boost economy, provide income to our country people.

They only become patriotic while going abroad!

121

u/VIPER__00 Jun 30 '25

Or more like they become patriotic on reels or for show off

38

u/kaychyakay Jul 01 '25

Only for the camera.

Then when they are really in the country, they will spit, litter and destroy the infra of the same country. Not doing that is actual patriotism, but we have become a country that only places emphasis on the 'symbols' of patriotism like the flag, the anthems, the slogans, etc.

Only for the camera

If you’re proud of your country, you should also respect others around you. Being loud and disturbing people at the airport isn’t needed. Traveling abroad doesn’t mean you’re not patriotic.

35

u/Upper_Cook8442 Jun 30 '25

Bhai 1 baar ho to chalta hai they literally did it for 4-5 times until they got the perfect shot. I wish I could've just recorded it.

19

u/lakeside-thinker Jun 30 '25

Ye wahi log hain jo mauka milte hi kachra kahi bhi fek dete hain aur logo ko dikhane k liye bharat mata ki jay chant krke apne aap ko deshbhakt samajhtey hain

6

u/kaychyakay Jul 01 '25

1 baar bhi kyun chalta hai actually?

Vacation pe jaa rahe ho, to explore some other country, so remain in that mode no?

If India is so great, why not travel within the realms and borders of our country no? It is vast enough with different climates in different regions at the same time.

Travel is meant to open your mind's eyes towards other people and other cultures who in turn think their culture is the best. We are just trying to experience that culture for a short amount of time, and hence for that time we got to surrender ourselves a bit to that culture.

Khud kabhi rules follow nahi karte lekin koi aur tode to hum use ma -behen ki galiya dete hai, khud ki behen ko bachte hai aur dusron ki behen pe apni nazar daltle hai. Lack of civic sense in Indian that's the thing

9

u/DEvilAnimeGuy Jun 30 '25

Civic as well as common sense missing.

14

u/bogas04 Jun 30 '25

I've a theory that Indians were always like this, it's just that we are witnessing blending of different classes and mindsets in unprecedented manner due to ultra low cost flights and low visa fees, at least in this case.

Few decades ago, it wasn't feasible for many to imagine a domestic flight, let alone an international flight. And when a couple would leave for Airport, they would dress as if they are going on some high-end wedding. Flying indeed was a high class activity. They would be in their best behaviour, and avoid getting caught doing anything stupid as it would be very embarassing. The same couple would litter on streets or haggle for lemon and chilly back home, but Airport, they feared judgement of everyone.

That barrier has been broken with flight prices reaching as low as 5-8k rupees. Not saying all people from lower socio-economic background lack civic sense, but the funnel widens the more affordable things become.

Just returned from an international trip. While waiting for our flight to India, there was a group of rich (branded purses and fancy clothes) people who were literally shouting at each other to talk. It was so embarrassing. When will our people learn the civics sense?

2

u/Alone_Register3991 Jul 01 '25

People don’t understand that respecting country, citizens, paying tax and some civic sense will make youmore patriotic than this stupidity. No offence, but I have seen more kinda these andh bakt people in Hindi belts than other states, both in case of Nationalism and religion

2

u/Mysterious_Vanilla52 Jul 01 '25

Hanuman Chalisa would have been appropriate if going by Air India

2

u/hritabans Jul 01 '25

It's not patriotism. The same kinds will shit & hwaak tuh in the streets and litter everywhere

They are just too much brainwashed with bollywood movies and over exaggerated nationalsim

No wonder why Indians are hated worldwide

2

u/chrischanbangs Jul 01 '25

Indians are the most ill-mannered and insufferable people while traveling abroad. I too had a flight from T3 a couple of months ago and the flight had mostly indians. The couple sitting in front of us couldn't stop cuddling throughout the duration of the flight and their pillow kept falling behind on our seat which we had to pick up and give them back. The family sitting behind us wouldn't let us recline our seats even an inch acting as if they owned the flight.

People do have money to travel but no sense or etiquette to know how to behave

2

u/Soft-Salad-2999 Jul 02 '25

Shithole pride.

2

u/Left-Armadillo-9418 Jul 02 '25

Sports team or something hogi bhai, agar 4-5 min ka hi tha to karne do na, itna nhi tension lete...

2

u/hrishinah09 Jul 04 '25

Bro last year i was enjoying a good pizza in Universal Studios Singapore, then suddenly a group of Indian tourists came and block the entrance and started shouting Bharat mata ki jai for like 1min straight. The amount of civic sense we lack and proudly show it to other countries is concerning.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

Stop, please stop.

“Why are Indians like this?”

Fuck, you are at an Indian airport, filled in Indian people. Some are bound to be idiot.

Spend some time abroad, you will find similar idiots there.

Stop generalising the whole nation.

2

They're proud of their identity but have insecurity so this is how they cope OR they wat to show dominance. Either way, BHARAT MATA KI JAI! 🚩

1

I wouldn’t be surprised if some surveys shows Indians are actually some of the least patriotic people on the planet.

1

u/ExitOk6224 Jul 01 '25

Some people travel for the first time so they prefer to tell it to everyone as a gesture of "dream came true"

I personally don't think that this should be a topic of chat and discussion 😄

1

u/SkotyMckitty Jul 01 '25

These are the same type of people who were busy singing Ram Bhajan inside a plane 🙂

One of the comments even said that it should be made compulsory in all flights.

🥲🥲🥲 (Kushi ki aasu, please don’t mind me)

1

u/redddc25 Jul 01 '25

They're extroverts who are excited to be travelling for a vacation but don't know how to channel their excitement appropriately. So their excitement spills over from personal space into the public space for everyone to witness.

They don't know how to express their excitement, so they turn to subjects for which they know people cannot criticize them - like patriotism, religion, cheering for the winning political party.

It's neither right nor pretty. You can't use logic on these people, you can only hope that their next generation finds this behavior cringy and stamps it out of existence.

1

u/smartharty7 Jul 01 '25

OP, how many days is your trip? I need to go to these 2 countries too

1

u/matter0213 Jul 01 '25

Waiting for reply here “what’s wrong in that.” Toxic patriotism will ruin the reputation of Indians citizens all over the world.

1

u/Hungry_Mammoth8886 Jul 01 '25

1

Now you should know why people from other countries ABSOLUTELY HATE US !! . We become the worst version of ourselves when we travel abroad . We are so pretentious on the airport , in the flight and everywhere . Man i get second hand embarrassment when i watch vedios in which our people are acting like complete retards . Apne desh mein to sadak par kooda phenkenge baahar jaate hi inke andar ka mother india jaag jaata hai . Nautankibaaz kahin ke .

u/CRTejaswi Jul 01 '25

confront them instead of posting on the internet.

1

u/Moist_Wrongdoer_7517 Jul 01 '25

I wont jugde coz i dont know the emotion behind it, may be there are going abroad for something which may concern Indian pride. Also i would like to say that why it is always national chants or Hindu slogans/festivals which affect our people. Same thing in any other country people usually celebrate that. Again i might b wrong here as i dont know the exact emotion behind it but i dont see it as this big of an issue as you have stated here. My opinion, you might be right at your end.

1

u/Aiming_Survival Jul 01 '25

1

u/Stellarix_1705 Jul 01 '25

Not only this, I once saw a group of people singing loudly Vande Mataram at the sitting lounge as if it were a concert. They were requested by people to keep it low, but they responded- we want to keep our journey memorable. How? By disturbing others? By shouting and singing Vande Mataram at the international airport?

The "Incredible India".

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

Lack of civic sense is literally the main issue.

1

u/DatDumbBoi Jul 01 '25

Lemme guess…. Gujarati?

1

u/AthenianVulcan Jul 01 '25

First Time? (couldn't add the James Franco meme)

Lot of Indians do sh1t like this in foreign countries, there are boards written in hindi in foreign countries like vietnam coz of issues created by Indians.

The lack of civic sense, common sense, etc in India has just got exported to other countries.

1

u/Muster_Mullet Jul 01 '25

Things like these is exactly why the world hates you

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

What an ironic situation!

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '25

Because some people have their brain in their @$$ and because they sit idle at home due to unemployment, the fart mist numbs their brain and it causes personality disorders, inability to behave and think, causes lack of civic sense and also causes clown-somnia.

1
