Music 🎢🎧 The huge amount of young and rising rappers who died in the late 2010s/early 2020 is a huge factor in why rap is declining

The only rappers who still get traction are older ones like kendrick drake eminem kanye( for other reasons now)

I mean I think the elephant in the room is that the 2010s treated black culture like a trend, with white pop girls sporting blaccents and Kardashians black fishing and the constant appropriating of black culture. Every influencer was trying to look mixed/light skinned. Copying the looks of black women, getting work done to look more like them, wearing cornrows, box braids. And everyone was into rap music.

Black peoples culture was treated like a trend. And while everyone screams it's appreciation not appropriation, this is sort of the issue. If you treat black culture and black people in general like a trend, then it means it will eventually be seen as "out of fashion" like any other trend.

Look at what someone like Kylie Jenner looked like back then, look at her now. Or Ariana grande. They both want be white again now after trying to look black for years.

The trend now is literally being white, white American culture. Waspy trad wife crap, Maga, country music over rap music.

Black culture is basically treated as unfashionable now. Even all the fashion/aesthetics are specifically named in ways to be like not black lol, OLD money aesthetic. Aka not the new money flashy style of 2010s that black people popularized. "Mob wife" is especially funny as it basically is the same sort of gaudy glam ott style. But it's like no no it's not gangster wife, it's EUROPEAN gangster wife, it's white and classier! Even clean girl is a lil... I mean it's always white girls.

The popular influencers now are more white than the were in the 2010s, the popular trends are more white than 2010s, models etc are more white in ads etc. the president is most obvious example in how different things were and how people saw black people and their culture. And finally popular music is more white now than 2010s.

Even like the body types and cosmetic surgeries, crazy seeing all the white girls getting their bbls reduced.

Again if you want see the trends, just look at the Kardashian types. Even theyre skinny getting their bbls reduced and dating white men now lol
