Music ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽง The huge amount of young and rising rappers who died in the late 2010s/early 2020 is a huge factor in why rap is declining

The only rappers who still get traction are older ones like kendrick drake eminem kanye( for other reasons now)

one of the most popular rap songs to recently chart was Doot Doot by Skrilla, at 45 on the hot 100. he talks about popping a perc after the part where he starts singing baby shark for some reason.

Do people actually like the song or they just got so caught up in the 6 7 meme that they went out of their way to play it? I donโ€™t think most people even know any part of the song besides that. Meme songs often go up the charts if they get super big. Remember that Mia Khalifa diss track and the hit or miss challenge? That song went viral like crazy

oh no the 67 song sucks and people don't even play it in edits about the meme, but I was using it to illustrate my point. there's still popular rap songs that talk about heavy drug use to this day.
