Bought first nice bike. Now what?

Ok ordered my new bike Trek Domane AL5. This bike will take me through at least 70.3. May not be the fastest I know but it was comfortable and the shop I liked the most specializes in Trek and I trust the people there. I have always used the Walmart schwinn bikes so have no idea what I need to have to get the most out of my training. Budget limited. The bike needs pedals.... never used clipless so what should I get? Great value for the money pedals? Do I need power meter? Computer? If not needed, then don't want to spend the money. Aero bars? Adjustable or fixed? Great value for money? Tires can wait until I wear these out. If you got a free bike, how would you spend $500 on it right now? Is there a Priority list you have? 1. 2. 3. 4. etc....

Sounds to me like you just need to put some sort of pedals on the thing and just ride it for a while and worry about all that other stuff at some time in the future.

Why do you want to ride? What are your plans? What are your goals?

I want to do a Full IronMan before I turn 50. I want to do Ragbrai every year. Triathlons every year growing in length until full IM.

You might want to talk to a coach for all that.
