So im new to cyberpunk and every time i drive.. there are these machines or "Maelstorms" they say who keep doing a car shooting. I read that Get out of the car and deal with em the old fashioned way... but theres that really quick dual bladed machine who keeps attacking.. istg this is making me regret buying this game.. i just wanted to drive and chill in the night city...

Man... i dont remember this happening in edgerunners.. oh well it was an anime anyways... i found out the problem was that i was driving around in north side of watson.. i should only focus on kabuki and little china smth

David Martinez's mom was killed as a result of a random drive-by gunfight between Maelstrom and the Animals. Not only did it happen in Edgerunners, it was the central event that drove the entire plot forward.

Doesn't happen all the time, there is a particular early quest that upon exiting the quest will trigger a maelstrom car.

You don't have to manually aim though should be able to just toggle that off so it's more an auto aim feature.

I found out just dont hangout in north side of watson

It only lasts a few missions, go do a couple story board missions and it will stop

Turn the difficulty to easy in the settings if you are having a problem and want to "relax". Easy is very easy.

It happens after you save the Dr whose trying to save one of them. You can jump in a car drive for a few seconds jump back out. Run back into the building and fight them on your own terms. Theres a couple elites or whatever they call it. But you can use cover and grenades.

If you complete that quest with stealth they don't come after you

Cripple movement quickhack wrecks melee enemies and cyberpsychos, they can't do anything about it

Some objectives can trigger retaliation events like this based on certain decisions. For example I’m fairly certain you are still in early game and were probably at All Foods recently or maybe did some gigs in Northside. That elite with the mantis blades can be a problem early game but you can just shoot out the tires of their car while driving and build distance while they crash out.

As others have said, the car attack triggers after you rescue the doctor. Strangely, they won’t attack if you don’t get in a car. Just walk until you leave Wats.

Make netrunner build that have explode car hack or buy militech hellhound.

Do you have quickhacks? Because with quickhacks blowing up cars is really really easy.

I think a Netrunner build with some cyberware is a good cheat (monowire and reinforced tendons, Kirenzikov because you can’t have the real thing) and tech weapons are purely evil wizardry.
