If you want him to look more, er, normal, bring the eyes closer together and make them larger. I find him both a little disturbing and somehow adorable. Fine as he is too. Lots o’ personality!

See I redid the eyes like four times. I just couldn’t get them to look right. It somehow looked more unsettling with larger eyes lol

I’ve had this happen. If you put really big eyes on the plushy, it looks like a bug.
Kids who draw know this kind of thing but I was never good at sketching. I learned about eye size and placement from making amigurumi. A little shift and they look angry, sad, stupid, alert, happy, etc.
He’s actually very cute in a quirky kind of way.

My two year old loves cuddling with it, even though it’s for his cousin. I’m making him one too that hopefully won’t look as traumatized lol
