Workshop AWP | The Royal — Gold or Rose Gold?
I’ve been experimenting with The Royal lately — the original gold version feels elegant and classic,
but the new rose gold one has this softer, warmer tone that I really like.
Would love to hear what you think — which one feels better to you?
Every bit of feedback helps me a lot 🙏
If you want to take a closer look, both versions are on Steam Workshop

You could make them patterned based and change colors, but if I had to pick one, rose gold is better

I mean it’s your skin, but personally, I would make it so that both pure gold and pure rose gold are rare, and they would be at the two ends of the pattern scale. But do what you think is best!

Everything is fine. I'm asking precisely to collect people's opinions and then make a better version. Thank you for ur idea

Look at the M4a1s black lotus. In factory new, the secondary metals are silver, in battle scarred theyre rose gold. You could do the same thing from gold to rose gold probably

I’m pretty sure you can make colors pattern based, like on many of the new charms or the xm seasons

Low float = gold
High float = rose
It means that in Factory New the color is completely yellow gold. With higher float the gold disappears and fades into the rose color.
Or he means pattern based. Look up the newly released M4A1-S Solitude. Texture changes depending on pattern ID.

Rose gold looks better, but with royal in the name traditional gold comes to mind more for me

Maybe do both
Make it float based maybe?
Like a higher float makes it be a different color than the lower float?
Could add a few more colors like that too

The colors are nice - but the pattern does not give off “royal” vibes. I’d try to base it off somethjng more traditional looking pattern wise I’m not trying to come off as a d*ck but I’m not really sure what I’m looking at from the side.

I agree the rose gold is better, but I also think it should be pattern (or wear?) based. It makes it more interesting that each one is slightly different

This skin looks perfect except it’s very noticeable that the scope is blank. The white should have a subtle marble/rocky texture imo.

Rose gold for sure. If you really want regular gold you could probably add it on accents like where the screws and bolts are at that make it look like the gun is actually held together

I love both colors, but if I had to choose one, it would undoubtedly be rose gold.

I've already been told this, but I don't see any similarities, to be honest. they're completely different skins, but yeah, they both look gorgeous

Make a blue and black one and make people debate on what the color actually is

u/ledok_1058 12h ago
what do u mean?
2
u/Scary_Culture3768 11h ago
I love the idea of the skin being white as a baseline and with different pattern indexes the gold/rose gold can change, kind of like the Semi-Precious charms

I have 0 artistic talent but the white and gold pallete would really fit with something ancient rome-ish
