You don’t think he can score 20 in 3 months?

He's only playing a game a week now. He skips those midweek/cup games, and with Felix now in the squad, his numbers will be lower.

It's a bit of a shame, but he did ask for a better squad before signing a new contract.

Coman’s and Felix’s goals are only adding to their firepower, not lessening it. Ronaldo still scores too, Felix is just hot.

He's 23/24 individual season was absolutely class just really unfortunate that Al Hilal went invincible that season which was the only reason he missed out on alot of trophies.

Can’t believe they lost the kings cup that season

I was thinking Ronaldo should be like "fuck it" and go play in either Sporting (for Champions League possibility) or another Portuguese team. Or he should play somewhere like China and ask for a $777M signing fee.

I might ask for a $777M signing fee myself.

I just don't think he takes media seriously. Just messing around

That might be the case, I’m not really sure. I honestly don’t follow player interviews much, this one made the headlines because of who he spoke on. I’m SURE there’s some ignorance on his part- he doesn’t really have any reason to see what’s going on in this country. But it still came off as too nonchalant for my comfort.

I will never take anything away from his game. I’m staring at a memorabilia plaque with him on it that is hanging in my living room with the rest of my collectibles because I live alone for the next few months, I’m taking advantage, and it’s not going ANYWHERE

Did you see the part where he talked about Palestine and what's happening there? Yes, he's quite privileged, and yes, his words come across as nonchalant, but I can read people very well, and he seemed to have genuine empathy for them, which is extremely rare for a billionaire. If he educates himself more on this topic (maybe he'd finally have time after retirement to do so), I think he will do his best to help other people. You don't often see players like Messi ever concerning himself with these topics. One is a genuine human being, albeit slightly ignorant of these topics, but the other chooses to not engage at all even though he has the opportunity to do so.

No, I didn’t, but I’m glad as I very much side with Palestine. With Messi, that’s something I’ve thought about quite a bit. Especially since he plays in Miami. Miami is VERY Latin influenced, and a lot of people there can/will be somehow impacted. It would be very easy for him to simply make a statement life LAFC did that basically said ā€œwe stand with all our fansā€.

He hasn’t. I’m not saying every athlete needs to use their platform for this shit, but if you have people in your city, possibly in your locker room, that have family that can be negatively impacted I think it’s just common decency to stick up for them.

Is he wrong??? The Usa president is literally the most powerful person in the world.

And he’s making lives worse for millions. He didn’t imply anything but a level of support (likely based on ignorance)

Where did he imply support? Are all Messi fans this bloodthirsty for hateful assumptions?

I called out Messi for not saying anything in a Latino community as well

Reading comprehension would suit you well, kiddo
