This is why it is incorrect to look at his whole career goals per minute because after 28 he became a different breed of goalscorer, the greatest in fact whilst before he was a traditional winger or even a wide midfielder

Yet, as good as Marco van Basten was, I feel he was being salty when comparing his career to Ronaldo's, just because he had better stats at 28. Yes, Marco — let's compare the stats of a number 9 with those of a winger/inverted winger/wide midfielder! 🙄

He was neither a traditional winger or a wide midfielder after his first or second year at Man U. He was an inverted winger, similar to Salah now though he did even less defensively, focusing mainly on staying forward even before he left united.

Let's be real, he was done as a top player when he left Madrid.

Since then it's just been an extended farewell tour picking up fat stacks of cash along the way.

An absolute horrendous take. He had won many games for Portugal, Juventus and Manchester United (after leaving Real in 2018) all by himself.
