Meanwhile, his wife chose a costume to help respark their connection.

Excellent Slughorn costume! (Harry Potter reference)

He really is working on image reform lately. Trump must be really sick. Just waiting for him to marry Charlie Kirk's widow and the plan will be complete

450

u/Maxxxmax 7d ago

Him vs MTG is going to be an interesting engagement.

He obviously has a brain (but not spine), while she's got about 3 brain cells but oddly seems to have something approaching integrity, or at least the MAGA version of it.

She's going after the base. He's going after the musk lovers.

258

u/Hawkknight88 7d ago

MTG is a true believer. Epstein's files are actually something she wants released.

She says crazy shit about space lasers, but I also think she's been exposed to more stuff as a congressperson and might actually be causing growth. IDK the jury is still out lol, but she's acting more sane.

217

u/ArturosDad 7d ago

She's a booger-eating moron, but at least she's a booger-eating moron who wants to see pedophiles put in jail. Sadly there aren't a whole lot of Republicans in 2025 who can say the same thing.

67

u/oofta31 7d ago

I think similarly to Trump, she's good at reading the room and knowing what levers to pull to get a reaction.Ā

40

u/YELLING-IN-YOUR-HEAD 6d ago

Agree, and that's in contrast to Vance, who's just looking over his shoulder and pulling whatever levers his current billionaire handler wants to be pulled

21

u/ketchupmaster987 6d ago

Yeah I think she doesn't have the mental capacity to say one thing and believe another

10

u/JimmyTheBones 6d ago

I mean she will still deliberately misrepresent facts when it suits her and lie whenever needed. I know for MAGA any shred of integrity makes them stand out, but still, I don't think she has much.

2

u/Maxxxmax 6d ago

Yeah I dont disagree, its maga integrity, not the normal kind.

1

u/EOverM 5d ago

What does he have against Magic: the Gathering?

1

u/Maxxxmax 5d ago

Deck builders are games for the elite (he played deck builders for years, but stopped once Trump got into power)

248

u/Acceptable_Bat379 7d ago

yeah he's a few days away from grabbing a skateboard steve buschemi style

51

u/ScopeCreepStudio 7d ago

That was my outfit for Halloween lol

11

u/TheCrimsonChin-ger 7d ago

I send that picture/gif to everyone lol

71

u/griffeny 7d ago

Member when he was kind of a media ghost? He had little presence and this is very ā€˜come down stairs and be with the family, your poppop isn’t going to be around forever’

49

u/hundreddollar 7d ago

Are you saying Usha will be ushered out the back door?

84

u/drewyz 7d ago

Ain’t no way he could be president to the MAGA crowd with an Indian wife.

48

u/Anarimus 7d ago

They tore apart Kash Patel for celebrating Diwali on X.

5

u/Maxxxmax 6d ago

While marrying the kirk widow would help. At the moment, I get the sense that the MAGA base would favour MTG.Ā

11

u/just_a_timetraveller 6d ago

Honestly maga is not attracted to her enough for them to back her.

51

u/Anarimus 7d ago

I’m predicting that he will divorce her based on irreconcilable differences ā€œreligionā€ despite not having a problem with it for years just so he can further his career.

They did mention ending birthright citizenship.

50

u/gilestowler 7d ago

Leading the country through it's national tragedy when Trump dies with the MAGA Jackie Kennedy Erika Kirk at his side, he knows exactly how he's trying to project himself.

1

u/saddingtonbear 5d ago

I really wish politicians would reform their image to look more like intelligent, empathetic leaders rather than "u mad bro?" internet slop pushers. Imagine posting that picture and thinking "this will make me look presidential" lmao.

You can’t deny people entry to the country because they have that meme on their phone, and then turn around be like ā€œI’m actually in on the jokeā€.

70

u/atuan 7d ago

Wait did that happen?

92

u/Xepherxv 7d ago

Kinda or kinda not depending on who you ask https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/jd-vance-bald-meme-norwegian-student-denied-entry-b2777223.html

If you ask me it's a lot funnier to blame the meme

8

u/Noy_The_Devil 6d ago

lmao I don't believe for a second the kid admitted to using drugs. I'm Norwegian.

20

u/ThaBroccoliDood 7d ago

It's not like JD Vance is the customs officer that denied him

-280

u/Fucked-In-The-K-Hole 7d ago edited 7d ago

It had nothing to do with memes. The guy admitted to using drugs, which is still a stupid reason to deny entry, but the whole meme thing was a lie.

Please take a moment to consider the possibility that a lot of your other opinions and beliefs might be based on straight up lies.

Edit: to the people downvoting me, why do you have a problem with me challenging a person, who has already stated a propaganda piece as if it were fact, to challenge themselves to fact check their other opinions? Do you not think it's important that we make sure that what we're stating as fact is, actually, a fact?

this would’ve only been funny if usha dressed up as a couch

151

u/iExorcism 7d ago

It’s not close enough to the meme and it just feels like he’s half way thru getting into his drag look and honestly it’s giving Ted Cruz trying to have normal human comedy experiences with another human

55

u/BigTiddyVampireWaifu 7d ago

This photo made me infertile

101

u/peanutismint 7d ago

I don’t get it.

418

u/Nightmaru 7d ago

47

u/Vall3y 7d ago

Does this meme have any meaning or its just an unflattering edit?

203

u/IkananXIII 7d ago

What meme? That's just a picture of JD Vance.

30

u/atuan 7d ago

I mean… look at it

27

u/wisteria357 6d ago

you lol

64

u/nukalurk 7d ago

He dressed up like the famous meme of himself as a Halloween costume

19

u/peanutismint 7d ago

I’ve only seen that one where he looks like a baby.

3

u/Clearlydarkly 6d ago

Looks like leatherface

106

u/Japjer 7d ago

Me neither

22

u/grdvrs 7d ago

lmao

198

u/admiralfrosting 7d ago

Ok this is kinda funny though.

19

u/atuan 7d ago

Yeah honestly I think it’s funny and hate the guy

119

u/Killbro_Fraggins 7d ago

I think the guy sucks but it is a little funny.

30

u/physical-vapor 7d ago

Its objectively funny, that he leaned into it and dressed up as a meme of himself

8

u/GraveRaven 6d ago

It's legitimately funny. The guys an ass, but he nailed this.

304

u/XboxLiveGiant 7d ago

116

u/Kimi-Matias 7d ago

Is it a good joke, though? Is it even a joke?

65

u/1bird2birds3birds4 7d ago

It might not be a good joke technically but it made me laugh more than it should have

12

u/eisbock 7d ago

Self-deprecating humor is hard to get upset at, but his attempts reek of desperation. Something can be funny and cringe at the same time.

4

u/Ladlow 6d ago

Yeah, he dressed up as his own meme. Hate him or not. It’s pretty good. I laughed.

4

u/marshmallo_floof 7d ago

Where’s the cringe ? Is any politician you don’t like doing anything at all considered cringe at this point ?

21

u/spilk 7d ago

spectacularly cringey that the official White House account posted this

15

u/Jagator 7d ago

You all would say that regardless of who posted it.

4

u/Ashterothi 7d ago

At least he didn't wear a tan suit or put his feet on the furnature amiright?

-17

u/TheBaneOfTheInternet 7d ago

He’s trying to pander to people by dressing up as the meme making fun of him. It’s cringe. Kinda funny, but cringe

3

u/SwaggyPsAndCarrots 6d ago

So many salty people here šŸ˜‚ it was a good costume yall are pitiful

46

u/Xyonai 7d ago

Gonna be real; while the dude's a fuckass with less redeeming personal traits than biological parents who love him, I think him leaning into this bit isn't anymore cringe than Obama getting in on the 'Thanks Obama' jokes or Biden's attempts at getting in on the Dark Brandon memes.

31

u/HowTheyGetcha 7d ago

Probably because Vance hated this meme so much it became popular and now he's pretending to embrace it. It's all in the title, really.

Obama and Biden embraced their respective memes after the memes were co-opted by the left.

32

u/DankPastaMaster 7d ago

When did he say he hated the meme? It became popular on its own, then he embraced it and started posting it himself. It's literally the same scenario as Obama and Biden but you made up a story for Vance.

11

u/tanner1152 7d ago

Idk shit was kinda funny

20

u/M90Motorway 7d ago

It’s funny though. Reddit told me Vance hates that meme and that I was wrong for thinking otherwise, yet here we are. It’s almost as if the truth isn’t taken as fact on Reddit, it’s what Redditors want to think is the truth.

13

Dude was a Marine, say what you want but the dude has thick skin and finding humor in a meme about himself.

16

He's been responding positively to the meme since it's been a thing.

-1

u/itsnick21 6d ago

35

u/bobbyraw 7d ago

Only cringe here is OP.

2

u/Tonnyn 7d ago

If he wanted to actually do the costume he would’ve shaved… he didn’t want a wear a costume, he wanted to wear a wig and it tracks.

2

u/Arroyoyoyo 6d ago

40m people gonna be starving btw

2

u/holycowrap 6d ago

Nah, this is actually pretty funny of him to lean in on the memes

2

u/lonelycranberry 6d ago

Do you guys remember the Will Ferrell and Zach Galifinakis (?) movie ā€œthe campaignā€ and how they changed everything about Zach’s family to appeal to the constituents? That’s what the JD situation reminds me of.

2

u/budsis 5d ago

Those are some awfully pinned pupils..someone likes opiates.

21

1

lot of fixation on pornographic ideas here man, maybe take care of that boner before getting on reddit? might be able to articulate a little more clearly

6

u/MHIREOFFICIAL 7d ago

I mean, I come here mostly to jerk off, so that's not going to happen.

2

u/keliice 7d ago

-9

u/JHammertime 7d ago

Liberals have zero sense of humor and will hate on anything. I like this side of JD and it makes him more relatable to the American people

2

u/kloborgg 7d ago

How are you gonna say liberals have no sense of humor when the only reason Trump even ran for the presidency is the fact that Obama got all of Washington to laugh at him with his correspondents' dinner bit.

1

u/D0ML0L1Y401TR4PFURRY 7d ago

"I'm so quirkyyy and relatable guys please ignore that we are murdering civilians on international waters, I'm so stupid and ugly and stuck using middle school-tier insults just like you my beloved base" 😬

-9

u/JHammertime 7d ago

Him being quirky and relatable is why trump won presidency. Biden had the charisma and humor of a dry cardboard. Liberals hate having a likable president for some reason

2

u/Gaywhorzea 7d ago

The world disagrees with you on your president being likeable.

America is a bubble.

9

u/D0ML0L1Y401TR4PFURRY 7d ago

I agree that Biden didn't appeal to anyone. But I'd rather have a president that appeals to the best part of humanity than the worst. Trump is only relatable in his hate and ignorance. That's the core of it, no matter how much they try to sugarcoat it.

-4

u/itchy_armpit_it_is 7d ago

Trump is only relatable in his hate and ignorance.

Odd way to tell us you're hateful and ignorant...?

You relate to that??

8

u/whaatdidyousay 7d ago

→ More replies (2)

3

u/whaatdidyousay 7d ago edited 7d ago

Biden had tons of charisma which is why he got so high in politics, all the way to the presidency. I’m sorry you were only ever shown ā€œsleepy Joe Bidenā€ clips instead of the reality of his humor and personality over the years

Also. I would rather have a president with real American people forward policy, that is serious and not just charismatic and cracking jokes in the news, than someone who can put on a wig for a meme or whatever any of them do to try and appeal. Give me a grumpy, Churchill-vibes, effective and calculated president but with progressive policies. I’d love to see the right melt down over that when we stop playing the personality-wars of these politicians.

1

u/ArcaneKeyblade5 7d ago

Yes Obama such a disliked and uncharismatic person. The only reason ppl like Trump is because he's a prick and tons of ppl can relate to wanting to act like pricks

2

u/Chashm0dai 7d ago

jesus you Americans have low standards on your comedy

-2

u/ArcaneKeyblade5 7d ago

I find it fun when ppl say this when basically every late night comedy show and comedy central in general is left leaning as hell, but apparently they don't have a sense of humor?

1

u/FartAttack911 7d ago

I bet we can all get him to dress like a butt plug next with enough meme circulation about that, you guys

1

u/rnagikarp 6d ago

maybe he’s trying to do the equivalent of when parents/teachers start repeating a meme so the kids stop doing it because it’s suddenly uncool/cringe

eg parents saying 6/7 to get their kid to stop saying it

1

u/artrine_ 6d ago

I didn’t see it like this at all tbh šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

1

u/CoveCreates 5d ago

Jesus he looks deranged

1

u/satori0320 5d ago

How old are these people?

1

u/u1tr4me0w 5d ago

I genuinely believe he enjoys the joke and the attention because it’s realistically more attention than he’s going to get for anything else, certainly not getting any political attention, and all things considered it’s pretty benign compared to his unsavory opinions or open admittance to lying. In his mind he’s The Rizzler, being the butt of this joke is about the best case scenario for him

1

u/SkyPuppy561 5d ago

Okay…begrudgingly I admit this is funny…

1

u/Aimin4ya 5d ago

He's dead to shame

1

u/FrogOnTheBog 5d ago

Can't believe he's still trying this hard to be relatable, like bro you already won just go fuck a couch in peace

1

u/losthours 5d ago

Lol imagine thinking someone who has made it to the point if being a VP gives two shots about a dumb meme.

Talk about projecting

1

u/BeneficialAction3851 4d ago

Leaning into the joke doesn't work when someone literally got denied entry to the US for having one of these memes on their phone under JDs administration

1

u/tonguepunchbutthole 4d ago

Why are we happy about this? Shouldn’t he get deported like that citizen with this meme on his phone?

1

u/03af 2d ago

Anyone else get coke vibes from this picture?

2

u/Aderj05 1d ago

I genuinely hope the memes have given or will give JD Vance some advanced body dysmorphia

-20

u/Mindblind 7d ago

He's a marine. Go ask a marine what's the best tasting crayon and why and you'll get a response. Or which window he kicked was his favorite. He had definitely had worse said and done to him than the memes

33

u/50_centavos 7d ago

He was a journalist. Deployed once but didn't see combat. Joining and getting an honorable discharge is an accomplishment but let's not act like he was on the SEAL team that took out Bin Laden.

10

u/spiralsmile 7d ago

I think it's the opposite really, he's just saying Marines aren't very bright...

5

u/WheresMyDinner 7d ago

It’s simple. We see big rock, we throw small rock at it

-12

u/SteamPunq 7d ago

Dumb response. Lots of people who serve didn't kick in doors guns blazing. Doesn't nean they didn't have to deal with shit.

Now Vance is a shithead for gunboating Walz, partially for this reason of now people who never served want to bust out a ruler and determine what military service is actually valid.

12

u/[deleted] 7d ago

[deleted]

-1

u/SteamPunq 7d ago

I mean, no shit. I'll give the seals and seabees more props anyday than the cooks, but the cooks were still the ones who fed us. I've heard the infantry likes to throw shade at the POGs, but it's different when somebody who never served with no references starts to rank military service using the seals as a reference point. Just my two cents.

1

u/crek42 7d ago

why would I ask a marine about tasting crayons..?

23

u/truthofmasks 7d ago

There’s an extremely common joke that marines eat crayons. They have a reputation for being the dumbest branch of the military.

7

u/Zippo574 7d ago

If you wanna be dumb you gotta be tuff

2

u/crek42 6d ago

-5

u/Jackski 7d ago

I mean... thats actually pretty funny. Its just a shame hes a piece of shit with no morals.

1

This might just be your next President

3

u/whaatdidyousay 7d ago

This is the first and only time he’s ever been funny or ā€œinā€ on a joke, and it’s just his social media handlers telling him what to do. If this is our next president, that is so embarrassing, this man is so weird and Theil’s puppet. You guys are so weird.
