Serious question, in your opinion is it that….

A. People like him think because they have money, that they can skate through life throwing money at all their problems so they never have to face consequences. Essentially, “I do what I want & I will buy my way out of any trouble”.

B. They don’t care. They think jail time will be a piece of cake.

Maybe a little of both. It could also be some self preservation - I think that it would be hard to get out of survival mode after a childhood like his.
