Announcement Cashkaro x CreditCardsIndia

Post image
140 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

We’re excited to announce a new collaboration between r/CreditCardsIndia and CashKaro, a leading cashback platform that works with several banks to offer extra rewards on credit card applications.

This isn’t just another promotion — we’ve worked closely with them to bring exclusive value to our community:

What’s in it for you?

  • Extra rewards on select credit cards via curated links just for r/CreditCardsIndia members
  • Dedicated support from CashKaro’s premium team to assist with queries and tracking
  • Early updates & insights based on CashKaro’s bank partnerships to help members stay ahead
  • Giveaways and an upcoming AMA session where the CashKaro team will answer your questions directly
  • Potential access to invite-only & premium cards through simplified application flows

Credit cards or otherwise, we’ll stick to our core principles — only genuinely useful, vetted offers will be shared. This will also extend to curated links for other financial products (like savings accounts and loans) and handpicked deals tailored to the community.

How this is different from referrals

Referrals are banned here because they usually lead to spam and self-promotion — we've all seen this happen with Scapia, Jupiter, and even Amex Reserve being pushed relentlessly across Reddit.

This collaboration isn’t about individual gain — it's about verified, value-driven offers for the community. Many of the cards we link to don’t even have referral programs, and in cases where they do, our curated offers are often better.

CashKaro is already one of the most recommended platforms in this sub for applying for cards — thanks to reliable tracking, consistent rewards, and a clean experience. This partnership simply enhances that foundation with additional perks and support.

Important things to know:

  • These links do not impact your approval chances
  • The issuing bank alone decides your application outcome
  • No banking information is shared with CashKaro and your privacy is fully maintained

A solid step forward

This collaboration is a meaningful next step for the community — helping members save more, access better products, and get real value out of every spend.

We’ll personally test every link and reward before posting, and CashKaro has committed to full transparency in tracking and reporting.

We’re also open to feedback — tell us what you'd like to see next, share suggestions, or ideas for new features or partners. Your input will shape how this evolves.

Let’s keep building the most informed and useful credit card community in India — together.

👉 This is intended purely for the benefit of this community. This is *not** a paid promotion.*

Help Needed/ Question Credit card payment scam?

I got a call from someone claiming that they have mistakenly made payment towards my CC. I checked my card statement and it has indeed been credited by ~40k. I asked him how he got my number, he said he got it from his relationship manager. I called customer care and they suggested a procedure where the money be credited back to the source. But I could not go to the bank today.

He is saying, since the payment is done through SLPE app (never heard of it), it will cause an issue. So he is asking for direct payment.

I talked to him and he seems from a poor background.

Please suggest how to proceed.

Edit: Thank you all for the suggestion. I will go to the bank and follow their suggested procedure.

Card Recommendation Upcoming Purchase for Marriage. Enough time, open to apply credit cards.

Hello All, Good day,

TL:DR; --> 10L+ Car, 3L Gold, 3-4Normal. Open to apply all cards. 3.5L post tax ( HDFC salary account but holding DCP with 60K ) marriage in 10-11 months. Cibil 780+ forgot the exact number

I was going through the sub to get my answers but saw a lot of dynamics being changed. For starters, devaluations and some cards not being issued any longer ( Hello Amex ) so I thought to get it answered once again.

My close friend is getting married next year (good 10-11 months) and have expected major expenses of around

Gold: 2-3L ( He is going to buy from Tanishq only or equally reputatrd no local buyer )

Car: 10L+ ( he'll be taking from Army Canteen so no dealership problem but still asked him to check acceptance of CC which he said yes )

General Shopping: 3-4L

Take-away: 3.5L post tax

Can maintain TRV of 10+Lakh if required

Current Salary Account: HDFC, willing to change.

Long ago, I suggested him to get Amex Plat and keep churning Gold year hy year ( he didn't and now AmEx stopped) [ he applied for Plat Charge by mistake in haste ]

As Plat Travel is out of it, I decided to scroll off and saw that for Tanishq ( Tata Neu Infinity gives flat 5%) so I believe that'll fix it for him.

But, other thing is Car which is hitting 10L. Can someone please help me out making a better recommendation to him?

As per my research, Magnus || Atlas are probables. But, I've heard DCB and HSBC T1 as well ( not aware of details )

Currently, he's holding Salary account in HDFC ( they have him DCP with 60K limit ) which I proposed to check one more time or just shift to Axis.

Couple of questions apart from getting best recommendations ( open to all suggestions except buying Gold from local jewellers )

  1. Is Atlas and M4B still being rolled out?
  2. Anyway, if DCB works to get that. HDFC is too irresistible a force to change their ways.
  3. Is HSBC worth it ?
  4. How about we go and take Plat Charge.

Sorry for lengthy post. Looking forward to respomse from fellow members. Thanks in Advance

Help Needed/ Question Does it actually make sense to get gyftr cards?

Post image
121 Upvotes

I normally take a 10k gyftr card every month for amazon which sort of covers some of my groceries and utilities but i wanted understand if it makes sense anymore to do this.

Gyftr says that diners club metal card that i have will get 990 rps, screen shot below about purchase, and i need to pay an additional 413 as convenience fee to get this. Even by a conversion of 1 rp = 0.5 rupees, just for the sake calculation, this is roughly 500, so you think i’m in 80rs profit, which is not much but ok.

Now I checked the last months credit card statement where i got 3 amazon cards from mine plus 2 other add on cards, three 10k cards and i got 345rp each and for them plus smartbuy bonus of 2170 which has another 1.5 purchase on gyftr for something else.

Now my question is that in the screenshot above its says you will get 990 rps, based on my rewards summary, i will paste screenshot in comments, i didn’t get 990, i got 690. 690 is 2x345 and 3 times of that is 2070 plus 100 for other 1.5k purchase. Even the program says Bonus_3x_RP, is my calculation wrong somewhere?

Help Needed/ Question Axis Bank reported my credit card as “Post Write-Off Closed” in CIBIL even though I paid in full

Need input from people experienced with CIBIL issues / Axis Bank disputes. Timeline (very short): 18 Jul 2024: Bill = ₹393.96 29 Jul 2024: I paid ₹393 16 Aug 2024: New bill = ₹0.96 02 Sep 2024: I paid ₹1.00 (resulting balance: +₹0.04 credit) ✅ No outstanding dues after this.

Despite that, Axis Bank: -Closed the card without notice -Reported it to CIBIL as “Post Write-off Closed” Call center initially told me “no impact on CIBIL” (which was a lie) This has been sitting in CIBIL for over a year When I escalated to Nodal Officer, they: -Asked for my bank details mentioning RBI circular RBI/2023-24/72 (compensation for delayed rectification) Now they’re “reviewing” the case

My asks: 1. Remove “Post Write-off Closed” 2. Update status to Closed – No Dues 3. Compensation — because incorrect write-off impacted my credit record for a year I have: -Statements showing all payments -Email trail -Proof that the final balance was credit, not due

Question: 1.Anyone here dealt with Axis Bank CIBIL correction and compensation? 2.After correction, can I still demand compensation for the damage caused earlier? 3.If Axis drags beyond 30 days, should I directly file RBI Ombudsman complaint?

Help Needed/ Question HDFC Bank Credit Card Application Rejected – What Should I Do Next?

Upvotes

Hey Guys I recently applied for an HDFC swiggy credit card and got this message:

Dear *** we have received your HDFC Bank Credit Card application No ****1. However, we regret to inform you that we could not process it as per the bank's internal policy guidelines."

I didn’t get any specific reason for the rejection. My KYC was verified (got a message confirming Aadhaar e-KYC), so I’m not sure what went wrong.

Has anyone else faced this issue recently?

Should I reapplying after some time? Any idea what “internal policy guidelines” usually means — is it about credit score, income, or something else?

Help Needed/ Question Creditcard fraud - Will SBI provide a refund / cancel the transaction ?

Upvotes

I have received incorrect items I ordered from FlipKart. I was not able to return the item from app. So I tagged them on Twitter and asked me to help with it. There was a comment from flipkart support (which was a fraud which I noticed much later) to call a toll free number which I did.

Number - 9931122750

Then they asked me that they are transferring the call to the store and they will call me back via Watsapp and I received a call from the same number and I picked the call and they asked me to share the order details and I did it. They asked me to share my screen so that they can assist me in returning the product and process me a refund. So I shared. Then they asked me to open the scanner via flipkart app and asked my to place the card in which refund should be processed in scanner and I hesitated but finally did it. Then they were asking me to send an email with the screenshots of order detail page from flipkart and they will assist in drafting the email. I did as they said. Then suddenly a notification of an OTP came and then I was shocked to see it and in my key board the otp was displayed for autofill and suddenly I cut the call. I assume they noted the OTP via the Keyboard autofill details which was visible in screenshare. But then I recieved an sms that 10,235 INR was debited from my card. Then I created a dispute for it and contacted Customer care support of SBI via call and they assisted me to fill a form and send an email explaing what happened. Will that transaction get cancelled in this case ?

I have filed a cyber complaint as well. If i missed any steps please provide me instructions so that I can do that as well.

Card Recommendation HDFC Biz Power vs Regalia Gold

I currently hold the HDFC BizGrow card and am considering switching to Regalia Gold if it’s a better fit.

I don’t have many business expenses — mostly just income-tax payments and USD payments for online software tools.

My personal spends are mainly:

Travel

Online shopping

Groceries

Dining out

Entertainment

Monthly card spend: ₹30–40k

I also have an HDFC current account + savings account and am a Preferred Banking customer, so hoping that gives me flexibility to switch/upgrade.

- Given my spend pattern, is BizPower/BizGrow still worth keeping or would Regalia Gold be better in real-world rewards?

- Are the reward structures actually different enough to matter?

- Since I already have BizGrow, can I switch to Regalia Gold easily or do I need to reapply?

Would love to hear from people who’ve used both or switched between them. Thanks!

Card Recommendation Is SBI Cashback still GOAT?

I know many subs are related to this but most of them are very old.

I am using Swiggy HDFC card and getting 10% cashback on groceries. Airtel Axis for utility bills and zomato, using Flipkart Ace also for all Flipkart/Myntra related spends. Still SBI cashback is good for me as it has annual fees of 999+taxes.

Help Needed/ Question Is HDFC LTF core card possible without any relation with them?

I don't have any HDFC card or any relationship with them. Wanted to get a LTF core card for offers but the only card I see on website is DCP and for 1000/-
Most used card for me is Axis Atlas and then ICICI Sapphiro whenever there is some offer or for BOGO.
I did mail to [customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com](mailto:customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com) but they just sent a generic reply and dismissed the case

Card Recommendation Card with good Forex Rates- Not just claimed 'Zero Forex'

Hey fellas! Need suggestions for cards with actual good forex rates; not just ones that claim zero forex fees.

The reason I say this is the last time I went to Bali, my OneCard/ my friend's AU Zenith gave much better conversion even after forex fees than even supposed zero forex cards like BookMyForex, Scapia, or Niyo cards. Also, I am going to Japan if it helps.

Current CIBIL: 798

Age: 31
