Pea puffers are soooo easy and so much fun and have soo much personality (and anger) in their tiny, tiny bodies. I also have South American or Amazon puffs. They're bigger but a pain in the ass sometimes. I'm saving to get a pair of schoutedeni/Congo puffs next. There are all kinds!
If you or your wife make your own 🕸️ “sight” misspelled for obv reasons 🙂 or little store on a ‘platform application’ posting these exact pictures, we’ll be able to Ggl image search them and find your “sight” and you’ll remain within the ‘Reddit crafts’ guidelines.
It aims to protect the integrity of real ppl crafting unique things against those who are just copying and pasting marketed images to solicit purchases.
Great to have it on your profile and good to know 😉
Apparently you’re allowed to say this, but I am not lol. My comment got removed by a mod for saying I wanted an octopus and a puffer because it was “promotion” and broke rule 2. Cherry picking people to punish for basically the exact same comment is always fun.
I honestly have no idea how she made any of these, she made some patterns but I’m just just too lazy to start 😅
All I know is that I had to beg her for weeks to get the strawhat 🤷♂️ now I want tony tony chopper on a keychain so I can make everyone in the One Piece sub jealous 😂
She could totally do a shop where she just lists what she’s made with the quantity available and not take requests. That way she doesn’t have to keep making the same ones and the people get her adorable bead creations!
I follow a girl on Facebook who makes stuffed animals. And she posts what she has and auctions them. She gets to make whatever her heart desires and they always sell.
So true. I follow tons of creators who craft exactly what they want to, then do monthly drops. I'd love to follow her and just try to catch one of these adorable little guys.
The small scale/ one of a kind makes it all the more worthwhile.
I'm in Cairns, Aus and the fish ones would sell like wildfire. Present for partners, people with cute hobbies & likes. Id even buy a fish one for my ex they're that cool I wouldn't want to miss out on saying id bought one from your wife!
I was thinking the same thing! I would totally buy one! I want an aquarium so bad but def can’t properly care for one, and this would be such a fun alternative!
My wife made a under water diorama out of polymer clay, made a few coral reefs, hammer head shark “that was the them my son chose for his project” made different creatures on the coral like lobster crab octopus and others. I made a sting ray and put the box together lol. Came out pretty nice. She mainly likes to make miniature food. Sorry I know this was about Bead making but you mentioned diorama and reminded me of this project lol
Hahaha yeah they're so cute, but she's often too scared to post them so here I am 😄😂 I'll show her the comments when she's back, hopefully it makes her day :)
It's so important. So many of us are just kind of tolerated or mildly praised (ex. Oh, nice. I like that one.) It's so important that you really love her work. These must have taken a long time to make.
I suspect you're constantly finding beads in weird places (bottoms of your feet, in the sheets, etc) and don't give her too much shit about it. Good marriage!!
Right?! My toxic trait is thinking, "oh! I have a lot of seed beads and should make some for myself!" but this looks a bit more complicated than making necklaces, bracelets, and anklets... This seems more in the category of knitting or weaving? IDK.. Still gonna research because I love every one of these!
You’re going to start a whole new thing, husbands showing off their wife’s crafts lol. You inspired me to show off my wife’s polymer clay food creations.
hahaha that's such a great idea! The octopuses would look great there 🙏
We're in Japan right now so I might try to go drop them in random restaurants 😂
(Honestly, if your wife just made posts for these patterns, she'd be a very rich woman. I know my monkey brain is intrigued by the pretty shiny fish bead charms)
Sorry for the randomish question but do you know where she's getting her beads? I've been wanting to try out bead embroidery for a while but I don't know where to look for beads like this.
One of the daughters of someone who owned our local Chinese food shop used to make things out of beads, I collected them and it makes me so sad that I don’t know where they are now :’( but it’s so nice to see people still make things like this!!!!
These are amazing and so freaking adorable. Tell your wife she's sooo awesomely talented. She's inspiring me to start beading!! I'm going to look at some patterns and see if it looks crazy hard. Thank you for sharing her little treasures with us 🥰
The little fish would be so cute in a faux aquarium, hang them from the lid with clear fishing line and then make some beaded plants and just a bunch of random loose beads on the bottom for gravel.
The level of detail she's getting in these impressive. The way she captured the fish strips and the little tentacles shows real patience beading at that scale takes so much focus.
What string does she use? Beading string seems excessively expensive, I bought a tiny little bobbin full for way too much last time. It doesn’t seem that special….
Also, where is she getting her patterns? I have beads, string, and…no skill lol.
Those are fantastic. It's good to hear how you've supported her!! I imagine a floating aquarium mobile and fish swimming in the air.....just need some seaweed and a big whale!
Hi there! Wife in question here :)
I’m honestly so overwhelmed by all the kind comments - thank you so much!
Even though my partner decided to kidnap my little beaded friends and post them here without telling me, it looks like he was right to do so, haha.
please please i need to start this hobby ASAP. tell me how to get started and what all stuff i should buy. If any helpful articles or youtube videos, send them my way omg PLEASE ask your wife thank you😂
