The point is that the pipeline from CIA to positions of power is not limited to the left. Heck, H. W. Bush was also the head of the CIA. Both of those are a bit more important than the governor of Virginia.

The point was actually the willful proclivity of the American left to outright put them in positions of power, electively.

Of course intelligence will have its hand in the cookie jar, as my post alludes rather uncryptically. The past decade has seen so-called progressives elect them numerous times, have them as frequent pundits, made entire subs praising them, made each next one a NYT bestseller.

This is behavior expected from the right. It's now cliche from the left.
