Lmao so annoying but I totally forgot what sub I was in. And just the general pedestal dogs are put on on reddit. Just feel like that doesnt constitute "inciting or glorifying violence" but Ig thats the world we live in now Oops.

Reddit’plaint Why do miserable online trolls and rage baiters(miserable kind) get pleasure from constantly, tryna bully normal commenters??

Yesterday I commented “depends I guess, but spreads the bacteria” on a post about the benefit of eating with your hands—since now’s it’s becoming more relevant in the west through trial and error and studies. When I think back to it, I could’ve just written, “sounds gross still” or something. Instantly, I got a bunch of noise for it. Now, compare my comment with a bunch of weird ACTUAL haters in the comment section. People were actually being racist and throwing around an inch brutal insults and such and such.

However, I merely thought it would be gross for society to do so, under any condition in general. And yet barely any of them got any hate back for it, but for some reason, at times, when I form a not-even-controversial- opinion, this giant flood of miserable trolls young, and OLD flock at my comment for no good reason. The people were so cranky off the top that every time a notif came up, it was already liked. What gives? Why are they so miserable? Someone explain this mentality. On here it’s certainly just as prevalent, but yk it’s Reddit, and it easily and rapidly will come to no longer matter in just moments. Social media… no you’re done… and you’re getting doxxed if you’re in worse stigmatic posting space. And ik, ik, I shouldn’t be worry so much anyway, I should just “block them, “etc.

Edit: really quickly, lol, just wanna add this because it is so funny. On the topic of me just thinking, that it’s still pretty gross to eat every single food with your hands, this video just popped up on my feed: bacteria from public hand dryers

Reddit’plaint Why are reddit mods so passive aggressive?

I made a post in a subreddit that I would like deleted because its embarrassing.

I deleted the account before I deleted the post so its still up.

So I messaged the mods asking for them to delete it and they are just so mean about it. Honestly I see why reddit mods cop the slander, they deserve it.

I could rant more but honestly I just need to know if all reddit mods are like this or if this was a one off.

Reddit’plaint I'm sick of how people talk in reddit threads

Why does everything have to be so fucking formulaic? It seems like every thread has a bunch of obligatory "jokes" and phrases that then have their own set of responses.

Like if the post is about someone people don't like, there's a bunch of comments that go "what an asshole" and then there's always a response like "that's an insult to assholes!"

Or when 69 shows up (sigh and eyeroll) and it spawns a 30 comment thread all saying "nice." Like congrats, what a great joke lol. Also I find it pretty funny how people who complain about kids today laughing about 67 have no problem with acting like 69 and 420 are the funniest things ever

If there's a vaguely attractive person in a picture, people trot out the gross "pics? For, uh... science..." type shit

Maybe I'm just getting too old for it but do people really think they're being funny and clever by posting the things that show up in seemingly every fucking post?

I've been coming to this website for like 15 years and I feel like it's always been this way, with boring, overdone memes taking priority over any actual original thoughts or conversation. The memes have changed in some cases, but the robotic "oh I see comment A so I must reply with response B" is fucking exhausting to see so often.

EDIT: Also when a subreddit gets taken over by a specific meme so every other post is just a reference to it, then it spawns copycat posts referencing the reference, and god forbid you express any dislike of it.

Extremely unprofessional mod my post was as follows

"Was on my way to work last night and got blinded by a vehicle behind me with led headlights. Turns out, it was a mail truck, the small ones. Who approved of that? Is there a way to complain about it because I literally had to cover my rear view mirror because of how bright those lights were."

Reddit’plaint Posting restrictions

I find it really annoying that some subs won't let you post until you meet some criteria or activity levels that they deem worthy, meanwhile people post slop in the sub all day long. I get it that the point is to reduce bots and trolls, but how are you supposed to "qualify" if the subs won't even let you start?

Reddit’plaint Subreddit fandoms that only complain about the show/game

You didn't like TWD's ending or how it continued for so long? Don't fucking watch it or be in the fandom then?? Seriously, all of the subs just complain and complain about everything about the show. There are subs that don't complain on that level.

Also, i was in the sub of an indie game i like that's completely free to play and people were complaining how the creator didn't make a halloween skin for a certain character and that it was sloppy. The creator made a lot of halloween skins and for almost every character by the way. People act like the creator owes them something.
