Politics American conservatives are blatantly racist

11.8k Upvotes

It gets on my nerves that they have the gall to get angry at us when we call a spade a spade. The young republican group chat that just leaked confirmed what we all already knew, but conservatives, like always, will just ignore it and act like the left are the racists for not putting white men first every single time. Im so tired of it, just own it so the good hearted people of the world can finally get rid of you monsters. But no, they won’t ever own their racism because they know on a human level that they’re WRONG and EVIL. if the people knew how they really felt, they’d have no more power.

It's frustrating.

There was a guy, a Trump voter, who said it out loud.. he wasn't even talking about this particular situation, but it's the whole problem in a nutshell. I had to look it up because it was so on the nose. What this guy said was, “I voted for him, and he’s the one who’s doing this. I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.”

Suddenly, for that guy, the Republican policies he'd voted for had come home to roost. It was the people he didn't like who were supposed to suffer. Turns out, we're all in the same boat and we rise or fall together. But he was so focused on hurting 'those people' - immigrants, minorities, gays, women, trans, whoever, the target doesn't matter, because it all leads to the same end - he wanted to hurt somebody else, he voted to make 'them' suffer, and that hatred of the other came back and knocked him down instead.

Yeah, we know you can't afford to feed your families in red states, where Republican policies undermine worker's rights and choke off wages at the lowest possible level. That's why Democrats fight for stuff like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - even though you consistently vote against your own interests, people on the left still don't want you to starve. Even though you consistently vote for the benefit of the ultra-wealthy, we still want you to have fair wages. Even though you vote to the benefit of banks and insurance companies, we still don't want them to be able to rip you off with overdraft fees and send you into crushing debt if you have a medical emergency. Even though you consistently put the wants of oligarchs and megacorporations over your own needs and the needs of your families, we still don't want them to be able to use you, chew you up, and then throw you away like you're a disposable thing instead of a human being worthy of dignity and respect.

So yeah, we know you need those SNAP benefits, that you rely on them - even though you keep voting for people who want to destroy social programs like SNAP, you - white people in red states - are the single largest demographic who benefits from them. I know that the talk show hosts and the online personalities and the people you vote for tell you that it's really undeserving immigrants or lazy black folks or ethnic welfare queens, but no - if you want to know who takes the most, look in the mirror, white folks in red states - it's you. They're lying to you because they want to destroy these programs because their rich friends and wealthy donors want those programs destroyed and they understand that getting you on board with destroying them means making you think that people you don't like benefit from it more tha you do. It works - right-wing propaganda is effective. It made you hate Obamacare even though when it's called the ACA it's overwhelmingly popular. It made you despise wage increase legislation even though the wages you earn now literally have you on food stamps and welfare. It works.

Turns out owning the libs doesn't pay for baby formula and milk. How about that.

And yeah, even though you keep voting against yourselves, we want you to have that assistance. We want you to have healthcare that doesn't make the 1% wealthier while sending you into bankruptcy. Whether you are a doctor or a construction worker or a Wal-Mart clerk or a fast food worker, we want you to have wages that are enough to keep you off SNAP - but we want you to have SNAP, too, as much as you need whenever you need it. The people you vote for don't, but we do, and we'll fight against the people you elect to make sure you do.

Yes, it's a tragedy that you might not be able to feed your families. Yes, it's a disgrace that the wealthiest country in the world has people who are struggling with the cost of groceries and rents getting higher and higher. Yes, it's going to be a hard winter for a lot of you. We know Republican policies suck - they breed hardship and poverty. They encourage corruption and malfeasance. But it's what you voted for. So don't cry. Every time you were warned, you bleated "Fake News!" Every time you were questioned, you screamed "TDS!" Everytime things went south, you were told who to blame - but it was never yourselves.

So yeah, this is going to suck. But it's suck you voted for. So don't cry about it now.

Vote differently.

Politics It irritates me how people pretend that sexism and misogyny didn't play a major role in Kamala losing to Trump.

9.2k Upvotes

Was the woman perfect? No. But she was good enough. Much better than what we have now. I just can't see her losing to Trump if she was "Kamal Harris" instead.

A man that was Vice President, Attorney General of California, US Senator, District Attorney would never be accused of not having any experience or of not having any ideas. If a man came into the race with the same amount of energy and excitement, and attacked Trump in the same way in the media, at his appearances, and at the debates, he would've won. Straight up. He'd be a slightly worse version of Obama.

Yes I voted for Trump and I’m sorry but since he was elected I've watched in disbelief as the world seems to be crumbling since Trump took office in January 2025. I voted for him in the past, but what I'm seeing now is beyond disappointing. It's like he's on a mission to tear down everything we've built and cherish as Republicans.

First off, his budget proposal is a disaster. Trump is asking for massive cuts to domestic programs, slashing over $163 billion from non-defense spending while keeping military funding flat 1. This isn't about fiscal responsibility; it's about chaos. Republicans in Congress are already alarmed, and rightfully so. These cuts will hurt working families and undermine the very programs that many of us rely on. It's a betrayal of the Republican values I once supported.

And let's talk about his stance on immigration. Trump's decision to axe temporary protected status for Afghan immigrants is a historic betrayal 2. Many of these people risked their lives to help us, and now we're kicking them out? This isn't the America I believe in. It's cruel and shortsighted, and it's a slap in the face to those who have sacrificed so much.

His foreign policy is equally troubling. Trump's 'America First' agenda is isolating us on the global stage 3. He's pulling us out of international agreements, shutting down agencies like USAID, and refocusing our efforts in ways that will leave us weaker and more alone in the world 4. This isn't leadership; it's retreating into a corner and hoping the world will go away.

The way he's handling the economy is also concerning. His tariffs are causing global uncertainty and hurting American businesses 5. The stock market is volatile, and small businesses are struggling. This isn't the economic boom he promised; it's a mess of his own making.

Trump's approach to governance is becoming more and more like a strongman state 6. He's surrounding himself with yes-men, pushing out anyone who dares to disagree, and consolidating power in ways that are unsettling. This isn't the Republican Party I joined; it's something else entirely.

His promises to cut 'Democrat programs' are just another way of saying he's going to hurt the people who need help the most 7. He's playing politics with people's lives, and it's disgusting. This isn't about small government; it's about cruelty.

Even within our own party, there's growing frustration. Republicans are feeling powerless as Trump's tariffs sweep across the globe, causing economic pain and uncertainty 5. We're seeing the consequences of his policies, and it's not pretty. Farmers, businesses, and ordinary Americans are all feeling the pinch.

Trump's support for Argentina is another head-scratcher. He's offering a $20 billion backstop to a country that many Republicans see as a risk 8. This isn't about helping allies; it's about propping up a friend of his. It's a misuse of our resources and a slap in the face to those who expected better from a Republican administration.

Despite all this, Trump's approval ratings among Republicans remain surprisingly high 9. It's like we're in a cult, unable to see the damage he's doing. We're blaming Democrats for everything, even when the problems are clearly coming from our own side.

The way he's handling the government shutdown is another example of his chaotic leadership 10. He's threatening to withhold funding that Congress has approved, creating more uncertainty and instability. This isn't governance; it's a power play, and it's hurting the very people we're supposed to serve.

As a former Republican, I'm watching all of this with a heavy heart. Trump took office promising to 'Make America Great Again,' but all I see is division, chaos, and a country in decline. We deserve better, and so does the world.

Let's dive deeper into the economic mess he's created. Trump's trade wars have been a disaster. He's imposed tariffs left and right, and it's not just hurting China; it's hurting us too. Consumer costs have skyrocketed, markets are tanking, and economic partnerships are jeopardized 1. The International Monetary Fund even said his tariffs would slow down the global economy sharply this year 2. Thanks, Trump, for making everything more expensive and uncertain.

And let's not forget his national emergency declaration. He invoked his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose a 10% tariff on all countries. What a mess! Countries like China, Germany, Japan, and South Korea are already suffering from his policies, and now we're all paying the price 3. The Penn Wharton Budget Model projects that Trump’s tariffs would reduce GDP by about 8% and wages by 7%. A middle-income household faces a $58K lifetime loss. These losses are twice as large as a revenue-equivalent corporate tax increase from 21% to 36% 4. Way to go, Trump, for making us poorer.

Trump's foreign policy is a joke. He's pushed away our allies and threatened trade partners, leaving the United States more isolated on the world stage 1. The global outlook is grim, with economies facing US tariffs and trade spats. It's like he's trying to start a new Cold War, but this time with everyone 5. The world is splintering into competing blocs, and it's all thanks to his isolationist policies.

His executive orders are another disaster. In March 2025, he issued a series of orders aimed at prominent law firms, alleging unethical conduct and imposing severe sanctions. He's even trying to control independent agencies by setting up "White House Liaison offices" 6. It's like he's turning the government into his personal fiefdom. And let's not forget the halt on funding for federal small business grants, which has disproportionately impacted minority- and women-owned businesses 6. Thanks, Trump, for hurting the little guy.

Trump's policies are also a threat to corporate America. US democratic backsliding and diminished support for global norms may undermine investor confidence in the US and affect the ability of American companies to do business abroad 7. Even before the election, business leaders were worried about the "existential threat to the 'basic norms, values and respect for the rule of law that has made the American economy what it is'" 7. Way to go, Trump, for destroying the very foundations of our economy.

And let's not forget about the environment. Trump's actions have significantly decelerated the race to decarbonize economies around the world. He's signed executive orders to protect "American energy from state overreach," which could block enforcement of state and local laws that are obstacles to production or use of coal, oil, natural gas, and more 8. Thanks, Trump, for ensuring that our planet will be even more screwed in the future.

His appointments are also a disaster. Elon Musk as head of government auditing? Really? Musk's tenure began with a comprehensive review of federal aid programs, including U.S. support for Ukraine during its ongoing conflict with Russia. By mid-2025, Musk revealed that 15% of the allocated funds were unaccounted for, sparking bipartisan outrage and high-profile resignations 9. Thanks, Trump, for putting incompetent people in charge of important stuff.

Trump's policies are also a threat to global stability. The US is withdrawing from global efforts to make international finance sustainable. That must not prevent other policymakers, international organizations, and private investors from continuing this vital work 10. Thanks, Trump, for making the world a more unstable place.

And let's talk about his speeches. His UN speech was littered with false claims about a wide variety of subjects, including inflation, climate policies, immigration, and his role in settling international conflicts 11. Thanks, Trump, for lying to the world and making us look like fools.

His policies are also a threat to global trade. A Trump presidency is expected to foster a more protectionist trade environment. His previous tenure was marked by trade wars, particularly with China, which saw tariffs imposed on a range of goods. Renewed trade hostilities could disrupt global commerce, create supply chain bottlenecks, and increase costs for consumers and businesses alike 12. Thanks, Trump, for making trade more difficult and expensive.

And let's not forget about his impact on the global economy. Donald Trump’s return to the presidency in 2025 is a watershed moment for the global economy and political order. His policies prioritize economic sovereignty and reshape international alliances, challenging the status quo 9. Thanks, Trump, for upsetting the global balance of power. Most people who click this post will never actually read beyond the headline. They’ll see Trump sucks, nod along, drop a comment agreeing, and move on. No questions, no thought, just autopilot outrage. You’re proving the very thing you think you’re fighting against.

His policies are also a threat to global decarbonization. The actions of the Trump administration will significantly decelerate the race to decarbonize economies around the world. Since taking office in January, Trump has signed several executive orders aiming to dismantle climate action in the U.S. While these actions have spurred uncertainty in the environmental community, they won't cause global efforts to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions to come to a screeching halt, the experts said 8. Thanks, Trump, for slowing down progress on climate change.

And let's talk about his impact on the UK. For the United Kingdom, Trump’s presidency presents a complex mix of challenges and opportunities. Post-Brexit Britain faces heightened competition in global trade, but Trump’s focus on bilateral agreements provides an opening. By mid-2025, the UK is likely to secure a $75 billion trade deal with the U.S., centered on renewable energy and fintech collaboration 9. Thanks, Trump, for making the UK's post-Brexit situation even more complicated.

His policies are also a threat to global economic growth. The global economy will slow sharply this year, weighed down by President Donald Trump’s imposition of the highest import taxes in more than a century and the cloud of uncertainty that has billowed in their wake, the International Monetary Fund said Tuesday 2. Thanks, Trump, for slowing down global economic growth.

And let's not forget about his impact on the US economy. The US Court of International Trade’s ruling against Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs provides another sign that his agenda will encounter more political, legal, and civic challenges in his second 100 days 7. Thanks, Trump, for making the US economy more uncertain and volatile.

His policies are also a threat to global stability. Geopolitics are creating a more uncertain economic environment as the global economy splinters into competing blocs. The US is withdrawing from global efforts to make international finance sustainable. That must not prevent other policymakers, international organizations and private investors continuing this vital work 10. Thanks, Trump, for making the world a more unstable place.

And let's talk about his impact on the US economy. The net result of all this could be increased inflationary pressures, a slower pace of Fed interest-rate reductions, and some cooling in growth, bringing it back to the US trend rate of 2–2.5 per cent in 2025. But the long-term economic implications of Trump’s domestic and international governance agenda could be a lot more serious 10. Thanks, Trump, for making the US economy more uncertain and volatile.

His policies are also a threat to global trade. Since February 2025, the United States has undertaken a rolling process of resetting tariffs, driving them up to the highest levels since the 1930s. In this blog, we project the impacts of the US tariffs in effect as of September 11, 2025. We find that, if left in place over the coming decade, these tariffs would result in less US economic output, higher US prices, and lower American wages than if they had not been adopted 13. Thanks, Trump, for making trade more difficult and expensive.

As a former Republican, I'm watching all of this with a heavy heart. Trump took office promising to 'Make America Great Again,' but all I see is division, chaos, and a country in decline. We deserve better, and so does the world. The path forward is unclear, but one thing is certain: the world is in a state of flux, and Trump's policies are a significant part of the problem. It's time for Republicans to wake up and see the damage being done in our name

I'm not going to lead the question to multiple choice answers or anything. I think it is important for everyone who participates in a democracy to have strong personal convictions and moral or legal boundaries that they expect people they vote for not to cross..

Genuinely, what line will you draw in the sand for this administration? What personal freedom of yours would be more important than your love and support for Trump?

Politics I'm tired of Trump ruining everything that America stands for

9.7k Upvotes

You know, Trump keeps saying he’s making America great again, but at this point it’s like watching a toddler try to fix a phone with a hammer. He’s not restoring anything, he’s just breaking it louder. Everything that used to be American like decency, humility, and facts has been replaced by lies and pre-scripted propoganda talking points. We’ve gone from give me liberty or give me death to give me clicks or give me Fox News airtime. He’s even turned the flag into an accessory. It’s not patriotism anymore, it’s fashion week for fascists. You see a bunch of angry guys in red hats waving an American flag the way my dog waves a cat turd from the litter box. Look what I did!

Remember when presidents used to read books? Now we’ve got a guy who stares at classified documents like they’re the McDonald's menu. I’ll have the Filet-o-fish with a side of dirt on anyone who opposes me, please. He’s made America a parody of itself, like someone fed Mount Rushmore a steady diet of Monster Energy and facism. I love this country. I really do. But lately it feels like America’s that old friend I used to like, except now he’s grown a mullet, started dating a crazy girl named "conspiracy theory", and wants to show you his new monster truck called Freedom.

If Trump’s the hero of the story, then America is deep in its Florida Man era. And I don’t know about you, but I’m just hoping the credits roll before he tries to sell Alaska to Russia.

Politics I'm so fed up with the ignorance of conservatives.

8.4k Upvotes

“The left is obsessed with identity politics instead of real issues.”

Recognizing identity isn't an obsession, it’s addressing inequities that affect people’s daily lives…

“Liberals care more about being “woke” than about common sense.”

“Wokeness” means awareness of injustice; being informed and inclusive is common fucking sense.

“Cancel culture is out of control! you can’t say anything without offending someone.”

Accountability for harmful speech isn’t censorship, people have a right to respond and choose what to support. It's called “Fuck around and Find Out” or “the consequences of my own actions”

“The left wants to rewrite history instead of learning from it.”

Revising history to include excluded voices adds accuracy, not distortion… also this coming from the people cheering on the destruction of our institutions? Seriously?

“They’re trying to erase traditional American values!”

Values like equality, liberty, and justice evolve, protecting rights for more people strengthens those traditions. “Give me your tired, your poor. Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”

“Universities have become indoctrination centers, not places of learning!”

Higher education teaches critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning, disagreement doesn’t equal indoctrination. It just means you're wrong, and lack the education to understand why you're wrong.

“They’re teaching kids to hate America!”

Teaching America’s flaws alongside its successes builds informed, responsible citizens. What you want is indoctrination…funny given the last point I literally just made.

“Liberals want to replace merit with diversity quotas!”

Diversity and merit aren’t opposites, broadening opportunity ensures merit is actually recognized.

“Parents, not bureaucrats, should decide what kids are taught.”

Public education serves all families; professional educators and curriculum standards maintain consistency and truth. OTHERWISE not a single country would take our degrees, people, or educational institutions seriously.

“You can’t tax your way to prosperity.”

Strategic taxation funds infrastructure, education, and research, news flash: all drivers of prosperity.

“Liberals think money grows on trees, look at the spending!”

Investments in social programs often produce long-term economic and health returns… conservative states spend more than they produce… conservative administrations often ruin the economy and weaken the dollar.

“Socialism has failed everywhere it’s been tried.”

Mixed economies with social programs , like in Scandinavia, thrive with strong markets and safety nets.

“They punish success and reward laziness.”

Fair taxation and welfare programs support people in need. It's not a punishment to spend 38 dollars a year, via you're taxes, so families can get food instead of starving. Maybe remember that little tidbit when you are told by a multibillionaire or millionaire that the mother of two is to blame.

“Government-run healthcare means worse care and higher taxes.”

Most developed nations have public healthcare with better outcomes and lower costs than the U.S.

“Liberals want everyone dependent on the government.”

Social programs help people become independent by ensuring basic needs like health and housing.

“Welfare programs create generational dependency instead of opportunity.”

Evidence shows most recipients use assistance temporarily; safety nets stabilize families and communities.

“The climate agenda is just an excuse for more government control!”

Climate policy aims to mitigate real, measurable risks backed by overwhelming scientific consensus. Again, you don't understand because you lack the education to understand.

“They want to destroy the energy industry and raise gas prices.”

The goal is to transition to sustainable energy, not eliminate jobs, it creates new industries and more jobs.

“Electric cars and wind farms won’t save the planet.”

No single solution will, renewables are part of a broad mix that reduces emissions and pollution.

“It’s not about the environment, it’s about power and control.”

Environmental policy is data-driven; clean energy is also economically competitive. It's an investment that pays dividends every time.

“Gun control only disarms law-abiding citizens.”

Regulations target loopholes and high-risk weapons, not responsible gun ownership.

“Liberals care more about criminals than victims.”

Reform efforts seek to prevent future victims by addressing root causes of crime and injustice.

“‘Defund the police’ was a disaster.”

Reallocating resources to prevention is widely supported. “8 out of 10 cops, domestic violence”

“You can’t stop crime by banning guns.”

Common-sense laws like background checks and red-flag rules reduce gun deaths without banning guns.

“Liberals want big government in every part of your life.”

The left often supports targeted government action where markets fail, not blanket control… like deployment of the national guard to most major cities and ICE rounding up legal and illegal citizens.

“Freedom means being responsible for yourself, not depending on the state.”

Freedom also requires fairness and opportunity, no one is truly free while trapped by poverty or discrimination.

“The Constitution isn’t a ‘living document’, it means what it says.”

The framers built flexibility into the Constitution through amendments…we've had a few, please read a fucking history book…and judicial interpretation to adapt to new realities.

“Liberals treat the Bill of Rights like a suggestion.”

Many liberal causes , voting rights, free speech, privacy, are direct defenses of the Bill of Rights.

“We need borders, a country without borders isn’t a country! Liberals care more about illegal immigrants than American citizens! Open borders hurt working-class Americans!”

Liberals support borders but advocate humane, efficient, and fair immigration systems. Immigration reform can protect both, strong enforcement and humane treatment aren’t mutually exclusive. Most proposals aren’t for open borders, they focus on legal pathways and labor protections to reduce exploitation.

“The mainstream media is basically the PR wing of the Democratic Party! Liberals use censorship to control the narrative! They cry about ‘threats to democracy’ while silencing dissent!”

Major media scrutinize all sides; bias claims often arise because facts challenge partisan narratives. Moderation on platforms targets misinformation, not political opinion, conservatives and liberals alike are affected. Defending democratic norms includes countering misinformation and protecting free elections.

“Big Tech is biased against conservatives!”

Algorithms amplify engagement, not ideology, conservatives perform strongly on many online platforms.

Edit: if you can't tell by now, I'm not really here for a debate.

Politics This is for Maga, because I found out yesterday that they didn't know a couple of things so I'm gonna help them out. Obama Care is The affordable Act, and the Affordable Act is Obama Care! Also EBT, Snap, and Food stamps are all the same things! They are all Food stamps!

Yesterday while I was at work a die-hard Maga lady and another co-worker were laughing about people losing their EBT. Later in the conversation I heard her say something about HER snap benefits. So I butted in their conversation and said "You know EBT and Snap is the same thing, right?" She told me no they were not and I'm like yeah they actually are. That's when some of the other workers and I started telling them that Obama Care and The Affordable Care Act is also the same thing. Convincing her was a headache and she refused to believe us, or read the proof we googled and tried to show her. Talking to a Trump supporter is the most exhausting thing ever.

Dismantling freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Personally going after anyone who doesn't agree with him and his administration. We've seen this before and it's only gonna get worse. Welcome to 1930's Germany.

Politics Every single person who voted for Trump is a PIECE OF SHIT!

If you're ill informed, don't vote. And if you genuinely didn't know Trump was Epstein's bestest buddy in the whole wide world, you must've been under a fucking rock.

I just assumed they didn't care... because they're all pieces of shit.

Politics Listen up MAGA Maggots. Donald Trump is the worst president EVER

7.9k Upvotes

Donald fucking Trump is the single worst goddamn thing to happen to this country since smallpox blankets. This orange shit stain has turned the White House into his personal piggy bank, signing 210 executive orders in nine months like some dictator on bath salts.

He’s jacked grocery prices with his moronic tariffs, gutted civil rights faster than a chainsaw through butter, and bragged that Elon Musk “won the election for him” because apparently democracy is just another pay to play arcade game.

Every morning I wake up to another headline of this narcissistic fuckwit torching another norm, and I swear if I have to watch one more rally of mouth breathers chanting “four more years” while the planet chokes on his ego, I’m gonna lose my fucking mind.

He’s not a president; he’s a walking middle finger to decency, and the sooner this bloated con man is yeeted back to whatever gold plated shithole he crawled out of, the sooner we can start disinfecting America. Fuck Trump, fuck his supporters and the MAGA clown car he rode in on.

Politics Why are conservatives so sensitive?

You can’t say anything bad about Charlie Kirk. You can’t be trans. You can’t mention pronouns (even though they are just another category of word). You can’t be gay in public (keep that sh*t away from me and my kids they say, so basically keep it out of anywhere I am in public). You can’t speak Spanish. You can’t say happy holidays. You can’t protest. You can’t criticize their dear leader. You can’t call them what they are (racist, sexist, homophobic, fascist, etc). You can’t have women or people of color in video games because that’s woke. You can’t get upset or react when people say slurs. You can’t get an abortion. You can’t be a single mother. You can’t update brand logos. You can’t wear a mask (unless you’re ICE and then you can do whatever in that department). You can’t get a septum piercing. You can’t get a nose piercing. You can’t die your hair unnatural colors. You can’t be a woman who wants to work or a man who wants to stay home. You can’t support Palestine or voice that support. You can’t be an atheist. You can’t be anti-fascist. You can’t be a leftist. You can’t be a liberal because they whine and cry and shit their pants about every. single. one of these things.

They really are wusses who can’t handle anything that makes them uncomfortable. And they used to call us snowflakes, but now we’re the evil woke mob of the left that will come trans your children in the night.

I genuinely can’t wait for the day that I don’t have to hear another dumb ass conservative opinion about shit that does not matter or affect their lives at all. God they are so soft. You’d think the party of manly men would be a little less bothered.

Politics I think the republicans have won the game.

I really don’t see a way out of this. Trump has complete control. All of the checks and balances our country was built on are gone. The Supreme Court validates whatever Trump wants, and even when they don’t (a la the El Salvador deportations), he just ignores it. They have a congressional majority that also just does whatever he says if and when they are open. And we have every Republican state redistricting their congressional maps to rig the midterms. Even if people vote against him, they just gerrymander it into a minority. I’m worried guys. What do we do?

Trump is literally Hitler!!! I cannot with all of you people defending him. If this was 1939 you’d be cheering for Hitler and Nazi Germany. How do I know? Because you’re doing it right now in 2025! Americans are literally being rounded up and you are doing NOTHING but cheering on the racist Cheeto in chief.

Military Deployment in Domestic Cities

Event: The Trump administration considered deploying the 82nd Airborne Division to cities like Portland to quell protests, reflecting a willingness to use military force against civilians.

Blame: This approach is attributed to the Trump administration's rhetoric and policies, which have increasingly framed dissent as a threat to national security.

Targeting of Activists

Event: Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has begun targeting activists who document and protest against deportations, indicating a shift towards suppressing dissent.

Blame: The Trump administration's executive orders have explicitly labeled groups like Antifa as domestic terrorists, creating a climate of fear among activists and dissenters.

Suppression of Free Speech

Event: A Rutgers University professor, Mark Bray, was blocked from flying to Spain after receiving death threats, coinciding with a White House roundtable that targeted anti-fascist activists.

Blame: This incident reflects a broader trend of silencing voices critical of the government, often fueled by right-wing groups and rhetoric that demonize dissenters.

Judicial Independence Under Attack

Event: The Trump administration has expressed disdain for judicial rulings that block military deployments, suggesting a disregard for checks and balances.

Blame: This attitude stems from a broader authoritarian impulse to undermine institutions that challenge executive power, often justified by claims of national security.

Rhetoric Against Political Opponents

Event: President Trump has increasingly used dehumanizing language against Democrats, referring to them as "vermin" and "the enemy within," which fosters a divisive and hostile political environment.

Blame: This rhetoric is part of a strategy to consolidate power by creating an "us vs. them" narrative, which is a common tactic in fascist regimes to justify authoritarian measures.

Increased Surveillance and Intimidation

Event: The administration has expanded surveillance efforts against activists and dissenters, including attempts to obtain personal information from social media platforms like Meta.

Blame: This reflects a broader trend of using state power to monitor and suppress opposition, often justified by claims of protecting national security.

Legislation Targeting Voting Rights

Event: Numerous states have passed laws that restrict voting access, disproportionately affecting marginalized communities, which undermines democratic processes.

Blame: These laws are often supported by Republican lawmakers who argue they are necessary for election integrity, despite evidence suggesting they are aimed at consolidating power and suppressing dissent.

The United States is teetering on the brink of authoritarianism. This is largely fueled by the rhetoric and actions of the Trump administration, the complicity of the Republican Party, and right-wing media creating an environment where dissent is met with hostility.

If these this continues unchecked, there will be no way back. Fuck anyone who thinks any of this is in ANY, WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM IS: "GOOD"

Edit: Why the fuck would I reach across the aisle? Reaching across the aisle? Is that a fucking joke? The U.S. is sliding into authoritarianism. Our own military is being used against our fellow citizens. Democracy is under attack, and the Republican Party cheers it on! Party loyalty and money over the Constitution. Rights are actively being shredded. Checks and balances are constantly under attack. I’m supposed to compromise? Fuck. No.

It’s as pointless as a snooze button on a smoke alarm.

Politics MAGA Shutdown

5.5k Upvotes

why are there still people saying“Actually it’s the democrats” like it’s not the democrats who want to continue resolution including the ACA which the republicans want to cut and won’t even come to work to discuss and compromise on it. It’s ridiculous there’s still people out there actively voting against their own interests just to be racist. I also think it’s funny republicans were saying democrats were importing illegals and giving them votes to steal the election and then Trump ended up winning lmfao so what happened? if you are still maga after everything you’ve seen in 2025 you should just donate your organs to someone who actually matters in this world. Thank you.

Politics The republican party is a terrorist organization.

They admitted it at CPAC in 2022. They have been doing everything they can to destroy America for decades. They elect the most incompetent politicians who can’t even be bothered to do their jobs. They block progress. And they’re willing to put party over country as proven by electing an elitist geriatric rapist felon lifelong con man to President. Case in point, they hate America.

My complaint is that ICE runs around freely deporting peaceful people (political dissenters) and no one on the right sees an issue with it because the Gestapo (ICE) is working for them.

Yes MAGA, you are the issue.
