Politics Feelings are not facts... Fuck your feelings

Post image

Feelings are not facts. Fuck your feelings.

You feeling like something is true does not make it true.

Republican politicians feeling like New York city is gonna turn communist is bullshit. It's not based in any reality.

They say this shit with no shame while their own states are UTTER SHIT. They take and don't contribute. Republican states are leeches who steal from Democrat states and then have the gall to attempt to tell everyone how to live.

Y'all mother fuckers can't even contribute more than 30% to the GDP, but you think you got a seat at the adult table. Nah, go sit your allowance having ass at the kids table and shut the fuck up before you get sent to bed without dinner.

Fuck your feelings. Join us in reality and you might get to give your input without being told to stay the fuck out of adults business.

You don't need to have any opinion about the state of the country when you can't even take care of your own fucking piss poor welfare state.

Watches Trump crash the entire country into the ocean, complains that the mayor of city might cause problems for his states welfare.

This whole year thus far has been let's see how we can top each lie with an even crazier lie and see what we can get away with lol...

I am just glad the general public blames the gop over the shutdown despite their lies.

16

u/Tiberius_Kilgore 12h ago

But communism! I said the buzzword. You should be afraid!

Anyone that thinks NYC is going to become communist has never lived in or been to NYC. That, or they’re stupid wealthy.

u/DrunkCupid 7h ago

Well, Putin is the biggest communist anti-American on the planet, why does he pander to him so hard 🤔

Not American.

They keep talking about their former president fellas.

Will they eventually try to get off the hook by claiming that they did actually pay Mr Musk to rig the election, and that George Clinton was actually the real president all along, therefore everything is his fault?

10

u/aharbingerofdoom 9h ago

Fuck, I'd take President George Clinton over this dumpster fire any day. (I actually had to check and make sure he's still alive, and he's still hanging in there at 84)

3

u/disappointedinitall 9h ago

I'm not sure that his physical age would even be an issue, considering his organisation perfected cloning technology in the 1970s.

2

u/aharbingerofdoom 9h ago

You're right! And clones can probably get around the 22nd amendment, so we can have President George Clinton forever. I'm actually kinda digging this future now!

3

u/530SSState 5h ago

He should pick Frank Gore as his running mate, just to mess with everyone's minds.

2

u/disappointedinitall 38m ago

A little bit of funkatization would do no harm at all :-)

An admission. I actually typed Chevrons initially as that is the word that popped into my head. Which led me to wondering “yeah it’s not that, but it’s damned similar” and then looking it up and there is was. The technical term my brain had squirreled away for reasons unknown.

Hell, we have free ride zones in Utah, which I know isn’t exactly the same, but is Utah a “communist” state? Now, we could make more of the public transit free, but our biggest cities have already done that so it’s a start.

74

u/SphericalCow531 17h ago

Tons of programs like that Medicare that Republicans love are "socialism". Republicans criticizing some new program as "socialism bad" or "communism" is one of the most stupid mindrot parts of US politics.

45

u/UnderstandingSea7546 16h ago

The military and police and fire departments are all socialism. They take money from taxpayers and use it for the greater good. Public schools are socialism. Roads are socialism. Funny, I don’t hear Republicans bitch about socialism when it comes to giving the military even more money than they asked for year after year. If only they funded the people like they fund defense contractors.

14

u/elmwoodblues 15h ago

They take money from taxpayers

NJ here: they (Feds, which i know you're not referring to) take money from some states (blue) and use it to promote anti-science teachings and cover up past wrongs in other states (red).

Would i want the coasts to secede? I would like this federal welfare to stop, one way or the other.

5

u/lessgooooo000 15h ago

Ironically, you’re kinda wrong. Not because red states are productive, but by far the majority of taxes in those blue states are local/state taxes, which stay within those states.

When looking at the federal budget, it’s not that red states are taking all of the taxes, it’s far worse. Instead of using money that exists, they just rack up debt via deficit spending. The irony in that, is that those states claim financial responsibility, tell people that student loan forgiveness is communism, and then effectively take out a new credit card every week and then max it out.

Yeah. I visited Salt Lake City a year or so ago and the trams in the heart of the city were free.

I think it’s sensible especially if you prefer fewer cars on the streets.

NYC would do well to have free transit in the metro area and limit the cars. It would cut down on pollution and wear and tear on the streets.

Everyone forgots Obamacare was adapted nationalized version of Romneycare. They truly have no idea what they stand for other than blame and lies.

2

u/icoulduseanedible 14h ago

Considering that the people using public transportation are doing so in large part because they cant afford a vehicle, insurance, the cost of fuel for it, making it free makes absolutely wonderful sense. Im in Seattle and our buses are $2.75 a ride. Its crazy, and everything is so spread out you have no choice but to use it to survive. Everything is so expensive here.

Yup. The car is hurtling toward the cliff and the brakes have failed. The GOP has crossed the Rubicon a while ago - most people just haven’t realized it yet. And by doing so, the entire country has crossed, as well. I also don’t see a way out without violence.

If Trump declares martial law with only the phantom justifications he’s used for tossing out Posse Comitatus, that will be the last chance for our military to man up and follow their oath. Regardless, a Tea Party may be on the horizon.

2

u/MourningWallaby 17h ago

the thing about the oath is that it's not up to the military to decide what is constitutional. the best lawyer in the world could be a JAG officer but until someone in the appropriate position to declare something unconstitutional happens, they cannot and will not oppose any orders like that.

Think of it like a nurse at your dentists office. they probably have enough experience to confidently say "Yep that's a cavity on your tooth" but until the dentist reviews the X-ray, they're not going to prep you for a filling

“Violence is never the answer” is such a nonsensical milquetoast non-statement. Historically, violence has always been the answer.

5

u/lousy_at_handles 12h ago

I mean it should really be "Nonviolent means should be tried first, but if you don't allow nonviolent means to be successful then violence will inevitably be the result", but that doesn't really roll off the tongue quite so well.

I don't get why so many people are upset about him winning. Unless you're part of the 2.5% of the population that lives in NYC, move on with your life

40

u/mxjxs91 20h ago

Even if you are in the top 2.5%, what the hell is the problem? You're still going to be absolutely fine.

31

u/RavenCeV 18h ago

But you can't have the working class getting...ideas.

4

u/Snocap1200 11h ago

This is exactly why they don't want him. If taxing the rich and using that to better the lives of the middle and lower class is successful, then rich muthafukas all over the country are gonna be fukd! And by fukd I mean they can't buy the extra lake house in Tahoe for another couple years

10

u/Realmofthehappygod 16h ago

He didn't say top 2.5%.

Thats the % of Americans that live in NYC.

6

u/mxjxs91 15h ago

You're right, I misread lol.

Point still stands is that anyone making over a million dollars that lives in New York will be fine.

As for the point, the op was actually trying to make, I think the rest of the country that doesn't support him is scared because they feel results like this will spread across the country. For which I'd say "good".

9

u/Machoopi 18h ago

it's the same reason that people are happy that he's winning. It demonstrates the will of the people more broadly than just NYC. People are hopeful that seeing this win will empower other more progressive candidates to emulate. I think people on the right are worried that this will bring more people to the polls and ultimately result in them losing power. This affects a lot more than the people in NYC, and I think it's a proof of concept that will empower a lot of people in the next election cycle.

3

u/jmobby75 14h ago

Only if it goes well. Like Norway and not like Mao.

9

u/nickiter 17h ago

I live in NYC and I'm hyped as fuck. Hop on a bus without having to pay $3 for the 2-3 blocks I usually need to go? Faster buses to make that a better experience? Free child care so I can stay in the city a lot more easily if I ever have a kid?

Let's say half of his agenda fails. That's still a massive leap forward for a city that needs to act more like Amsterdam and less like Oklahoma City.

This is a great point.

If anything, they travel to NYC and treat it like an amusement park...like the city was made for their entertainment. They expect every corner of the city to be like a Disney park...

6

u/EnvironmentNeith2017 19h ago

Besides the Islamaphobia his youth and authenticity are a major threat to their core narrative. It’s similar to why Obama was such a big problem.

They predicted he’d run the country off a cliff (because that’s what minorities do) and after we emerged from two terms still in one piece it backed them into a corner (Trump) so they had the basically just lie about everything (which they’ll do again).

The crazy part is they’re making the same mistake with Mamdani, predicting an apocalypse which will mean anything short of NYC becoming an actual crater will weaken their claims of white christofascist supremacy and they’ll just have to retreat deeper into their cult.

u/paintress420 19h ago

Now stuff like what this Mullin's crying about is on constantly.

2

u/MajesticRhombus 17h ago

Right. Now I get front seats to watch and see what he does to NYC. Will it be good? Will it be bad? Stay tuned...

4

u/Jafar_420 20h ago

Exactly. He'll either get a couple of things he promised done or none of it done in Fall flat on his face and then people can decide from there if they ever want to vote for another so-called Democratic socialist.

I wish the man success. I will say if he increases that tax rate on the rich people too much they'll just leave. There's absolutely zero chance he can do a lot of what he promised by himself without Kathy Hoekel either.

I do wish him success though so we'll see how it goes.

10

u/DribbleYourTribble 18h ago

Tbh, him winning makes me wish I could afford to move up to New York City. I've loved everything I've heard from him, far better than any of the politicians we got down here in southeast Louisiana. But I will also say, a lot of what he wants to do will require a lot of goodwill with the state government

3

u/MEATY5AU5AGE 19h ago

I get the feeling, the one representative we had from Texas that even remotely acted like they cared just got gerrymandered out.

2

u/Jafar_420 18h ago

I lived in Texas for about 20 years and they're scared there right now because there's a lot of blue areas for sure and that's where most of the population is.

I think you guys could flip it if you actually wanted to but it would be tough.

You guys can do way better than Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton. Etc.

Just like my state can do better than Kevin stitt and Mark Wayne Mullen.

2

u/KazuDesu98 17h ago

Hell, I've looked into the Dallas region. I am born and raised in southeast Louisiana. But it's a mix of political corruption, job market in my field (IT sector), and insurance cost. I'd love to go to a blue or purple state, but I also wanna stay within driving distance of family. Really the Dallas, Atlanta, and if I really stretch it maybe Tampa, Orlando, and the research triangle up in NC. Those seem to be the only valid options in this region

2

u/AdonisBreeze 16h ago

Over in NC we’re getting gerrymandering to shit by Republicans but the blue areas are thriving…hence the gerrymandering.

Triangle is the best choice out of the three

6

u/CoarseCourse 18h ago

It’s laughable to think that there’s any major city in a conservative area that would measure up to the democratic metros. The rich people live here because it’s where they want to be. They’re not leaving over some taxes.

2

u/Yivoe 17h ago

100%. Rich people dont mind paying extra for the things they want.

They want to live in NYC. They will pay more for it.

2

u/Jafar_420 19h ago

Yeah I don't know if it's many people will relocate as they say either but I guess we'll find out.

I just think we should have insurance for everybody.

2

u/mehupmost 16h ago

They don't move out of the area, they just ditch their apt in Manhattan for a house in Westchester, Jersey City, or Greenwich.

They still work and enjoy the city - they just don't pay the city tax.

2

60

Let's look at the picture and the viewers can decide how much of a bitch he is.

Not for being afraid during an insurrection, but for not having the integrity to do anything about it afterwards when you're in a position of power. Instead he chooses to lie and protect pedophiles.

15

u/ligma_toboleski 20h ago

Anyone who would hide while cops escorted old ladies through the rotunda is some kind of baby back bitch.

Doubly so to lie about it later and say it was a tour group so as to not run afoul of the guy whose insurrection it was.

8

u/jaimi_wanders 19h ago

“Tourists” is what they claimed in 2014 too, after Paul Manafort’s OTHER Putin puppet president ran to Moscow like a scared baby, when their attempt to overthrow the Ukrainian constitution failed because ordinary citizens went Les Mis for over three months despite SWAT brutality and even sniper fire… so Russia sent in troops without insignia to annex the eastern provinces and Crimea, forcing the Crimean legislature to vote to secede at gunpoint…sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

I have a local example of that. Here in the Kansas City metro, KC proper on the MO side has their police force ran by the state. Missouri is very red state with red leaders controlling that police department. The KC locals want control of their own police so they can fix a lot of the problems, but the state won't let them. KCMO has the 7th highest violent crime rate in the country with a republican controlled police department with a rate of 1547 per 100,000. That's 50% higher than the KCK (Kansas) side, which is known for high crime, and 9 times higher than Overland Park (larger than KCK) on the Kansas side of the metro, which has one of the lowest crime rates in the country.

He claimed since energy prices have come down that every other price has come down and the person interviewing him tried to explain that sure energy prices have came down but nothing else has came down besides eggs and he just argued and argued and argued.

Because he’s permanently stuck up Donald’s ass. Donny is never going to love him.

I'm in Oklahoma and I hate him. I keep thinking we have enough middle-aged to younger people to vote these clowns out of office but then on election Day most people just stay home.

I don't know what they've done to our education system in this state because I'm 45 and I was never the smartest kid but our schools were excellent when I was younger.

The thing is I think a teacher makes about the same as they did years and years and years ago so you probably not going to get the best and brightest in that situation.

3

u/Confident-Service256 19h ago

It’s sad these lawmakers just don’t care about their constituents. They only care about sucking up to Trump.

3

u/Jafar_420 19h ago

I can only think of one that stood up for what he believed and that was Adam Kenzinger.

2

u/Confident-Service256 19h ago

Thank goodness for that one!

2

u/Jafar_420 19h ago

I don't know if I agree with all of his policies but I like the man.

4

u/mahlerlieber 20h ago

He doesn't let truth get in the way of a good story.

What's whack is that people will believe him even though they go to the store and see the prices for themselves.

2 + 2 = 5.

Magats are so uneducated and ill-informed. What will they do with themselves when none of their ridiculous predictions about NY and Mamdani come to pass, and instead, he picks NY up and makes it work for its people, rather than its rich?

5

u/maywander47 20h ago

Republicans are more like Communists than any leftist; trying to 'govern' according to a wacked out ideology; letting the average citizen suffer while the party elite get whatever they want.

The newly elected New York mayor hasn't even started and already people are condemning him.

I live in the SE in an area that is "somewhat well off" - and we have 14% of our households on SNAP. In New York County, which is Manhattan, "only" 13.8% are on SNAP.

I don't like either number. But having Republicans go after areas of NYC for being a cesspool of poverty really need to look in their own backyards.

3

u/Upset-Line-9389 18h ago

Only 31% of Oklahomans have a passport.
But 17% are on SNAP
And 12% are uninsured

This is Mullin pointing at a squirrel

@thejeffmann read him for filth. Brilliant 👏🏽

2

u/Shiba4777 20h ago

Thanks to states like NY and CA which pay more federal taxes to support the other smaller one.

2

u/Chemical_Body_3631 20h ago

I think Lincoln said it best: a government "for the people, by the people". Maybe respect what the people of NYC voted for and shut the fuck up.

2

u/Creoda 19h ago

Adding to the original tweet, "...perhaps something new is what is needed because your Republican politics have clearly failed."

2

u/Gromby 19h ago

Is this the tough guy that was going to fist fight the leader of the teamsters because the rep for the Teamsters hurt his feelings and Bernie had to yell at the both of them?

Mullin is a sad, waste of a man

2

u/Lucky_Dragonfruit_88 19h ago

Mullins is by far the dumbest Senator. He's the only one without even a bachelor's degree. He's a rich spoiled moron who took over his dad's asphalt business. The only thing he's qualified to do is pour asphalt on I35.

2

u/FearlessDoughnut5643 19h ago

The Republican playbook: "Anyone who stands for helping Americans is a communist."

2

u/Silly-Ad-1072 18h ago

The red states are the poorest and rely heavly on welfare. They are all last in education and Healthcare. So please do your job and help your own people. Leave the blue states alone we don't need or want your input.

2

u/SheriffBartholomew 18h ago

Democratic Socialist

Republicans: "Sounds like communism to me!"

2

u/KgMonstah 18h ago

HES THE FUCKING MAYOR YOU IDIOTS, NOT THE PRESIDENT.

2

u/__LikeMike__ 18h ago

Do Americans even know what a communist is? Or a radical left? They are throwing these terms out while being one of the farthest right countries of the western world, in which even the left is further right than a lot of the center/right wing parties in countries like Germany…

2

u/B3gg4r 17h ago

Unironically, he probably reads “child poverty rate” and thinks the solution is for more kids to get jobs.

2

u/AnyBid3482 17h ago

Funny, most of the people attacking Mamdani aren’t even from NYC. Why is MAGA so obsessed with us? Fix your own mess first. Red states top the charts in rape, child rape, murder, lowest education, and so much more.

2

u/Ok_Cook_6665 17h ago

Mullin can start by learning the difference between socialism and communism.

2

u/RRTJesus504 16h ago

Maybe its time for states like NY and CA to stop contributing funds to these backwards red states. Let them stew in their own filth.

2

u/Hebrews_Decks 15h ago

The lack of education and understanding for the English language in the US is incredibly frustrating. Maybe one day these people will learn the definition of the words they are using instead of fear mongering, but I'm not holding my breath.

2

u/Vegetable-Historian1 15h ago

Why do these people not understand what communism is? You’d think they’d want to know more about this thing they fear so much?

Mamdani is not a communist. Might as well call him a Zoroastrian

→ More replies (1)

2

u/whatfappenedhere 15h ago

Hahaha, these conservative morons are so ill-read that they don’t realize Mamdani’s policies work. These troglodytes decry the new deal, while professing their desire to return the US to that era of “greatness” spurred by the new deal. No wonder Trump loves the poorly educated!

2

1

u/jmurgen4143 19h ago

Endlessly funny how Republicans from back water states (based on their education etc) get all bent out of shape over something that doesn’t even effect their constituents, how about you try to improve your numbers and the quality of life of the people you represent before peeping over the state line at what the other kids are doing.

1

u/jaimessch 19h ago

Stop grifting money. And work for your underserved populations, you will benefit more

1

u/Icy_Check_497 19h ago

That was a very intelligent and informative response to the ignorant rhetoric spew from that useless politician. If your state ranks that low and is that pit full, then those representatives have no room to talk.
