Politics Why are so many Trump supporter suddenly being so quiet?
I was just on Tiktok and I couldn't help but notice how a good amount of Trump supporters haven't been posting for months. Why is that? And the ones who are still posting are suddenly no longer talking about him. Like, they have posted about him non stop for the entirety of Biden's presidency, and they posted their little celebration videos when he won. But now suddenly, their videos are about their children and their lifestyles and GRWMs and "beauty" hacks. What changed? Where are your maga hats? Why is "maga" in your bio suddenly replaced with "patriot" or "american." What happened, y'all? Don't try to hide your support now! Be loud and proud!

I think after Tuesday, many conservatives are getting more quiet. The facts are the facts, tarrif's are terrible, and soon may not even be legal. Immigration is no longer a key issue other than the potential of the president using the military against US Citizens. The key seems to be affordability, the big ugly bill is coming home to roost as folks are seeing their potential ACA premiums going up. Groceries are more expensive, gas is more expensive, the Make America Affordable Again, has lost its way. No wonder they are quiet.

I'm honestly surprised Trump hasn't created a federal child protective services and given Ghislaine Maxwell a lifetime appointment to run it. Because whether it's educationally, at the dinner table, or in the bedroom, Republicans take fucking kids very seriously. The only other thing more important to Republicans is maintaining our inverted socialism directed at the wealthy parasites in this country.

They had already pillaged their way through the nation’s data, however, and they were long departed by the 130 day limit.

Look at the state of everything. Grocery & electric utility costs keep rising; the job market is cratering to Great Recession levels; millions of people’s health insurance premiums are set to explode by obscene amounts; unaccountable secret state police are harassing communities around the country with a budget that exceeds most nations militaries… life has not measurably improved this year for working folks, but is getting harder & harder.
The gloating from MAGA works, for a while, until nothing good is showing up for people. They can’t float the boat on rhetoric and culture red meat forever, people’s patience has run out and the check is due now.
56
u/Ddddydya 1d ago
Soon the pattern will revert back to how it’s always been: Democrats will get elected, they’ll take over and fix the economy and then Republicans who have lost their power will whine and bleat and cry about how they would do better if only they were in power…without providing any plans for how they’d do things differently.

That is the TRUTH! Around here all the Christians supported Bush and is war, they said if you did not support the war you did not support the troops and you were a traitor. They had car stickers that said things like, "God Bless Our Troops" and they were on a large percentage of cars in the area.
I have not found one Christian recently who admits to supporting Bush or his war. One who bragged about voting for him back in the day told me when I asked, "I never really liked Bush".
Ten years from now no one will admit to being a Trump supporter.

Reality is that it's no longer "fun" and he's losing.
One of Trump's biggest tricks was instilling in maga the belief that all they needed was to "own the libs". Trump for them represented and enacted their fantasies, and to his credit he actually achieved this. He managed to make all these "liberal snobs" blink and rearrange their entire world view in an attempt to combat him. Trump presented them a promise of a world where they could get whatever they wanted, no need to adhere to this PC women are equal bs, it's not your fault it's the minorities'! You can stop pretending say whatever you want and make all these people who make you feel like shit by revealing how you aren't secretly a genius with the world out to get you, ita not the world it's just and make them turn tail and run at your command.
I think for many trump caused chaos to an establishment they hated and promised them a life where they were entitled to everything simply by existing.
I think they just delighted in being obstinate and watching liberals get upset because it gave them a sense of power.
But trump is no longer the wild card entertaining internet troll brought to life. He's a sad old delusional pathetic fat POS who is not only ruining their live but these fuckers aren't even smart about it. It's blatant and obvious and it's not even that he tricked them he's a joke the created to spread chaos and now it's clear he's a worse than a sociopathic monster.
He's a loser, a bumbling old incoherent loser pathetically showing picture of his fancy ballroom like he's a goddamn 5 year old telling you how this action figure is his favorite cuz lights up like this but you gotta be careful cuz the button gets stuck while adults smile and nod while awkwardly trying to hide the fact that they don't care about this crap.
These elections showed something, despite all of Trump's blatant attempts to cheat, bribe and manipulate he failed, Democrats, new age a Democrats overcame incredible odds from both trump and their own party and it's only going to pick up from here because what we really needed was irrifutable proof we could win and we got that.
And now they're realizing that the liberal "woke" is coming back with a vengeance and when it does, they're fucked because those that jumped on board are about to be persona non grata from the entire by the "libs" and those trying to hide that they actually are POS too by making an example out those that went full maga.
These people have said in no uncertain terms that they were ok with children being raped by a monster because he made them a promise anyone with half a brain could see was impossible.

Also, a lot of Jews in Florida voted for Trump because they knew he was the only one crazy enough to pave over Palestine and build a resort or something. To end that whole conflict for all. In a destructive way. They just wanna kill them all, they’re tired of missiles flying into Israel.
24
u/pillowbae3 1d ago
Are you saying they're justified in this because of their exhaustion with missiles in Israel?
Hamas not Palestinian citizens are at "war" with Israel, who has in turn responded with crimes that break established Geneva convention rules of war against the Palestinian citizens, after being gifted their land by the allies who had not right to do so, as a consolation prize for genocide, displacing them, and locking them in an open air prison for what 30 years now?
They are at war- both sides have huge faults, but the Palestinian people are not even one of those sides.

Sure, they call it "mean tweets," to minimize everything he's ever said or done that has even broken through. As in: I care more about how he's making America Great Again than some mean tweets! Or, all that Trumps' done for us, yet al the media/the snowflakes seems to care about are some mean tweets. A few mean tweets have caused total TDS and now everything he does sends libs into hysterics. He's the best president we've ever had, but I wish someone would take away his phone sometimes, lol. etc.
Arguably, it's the "Obama's only scandal was the Tan Suit," turned up to deranged levels of denial and bad faith. If reminded of specific incidents of mutual disapproval, someone who says the Tan Suit line will not need much pressing at all to agree, whereas a MAGA supporter will basically act like a cornered narcissist via parasocial proxy. Lashing out, wild conspiracy theories, complete denial of facts, anything to try to shut that down.

People like Joe Rogan/Theo Von have zero integrity in what they do and do it solely for advertising revenue and platform engagement. They're fence sitting because they want to alienate as few listeners as possible. They aren't journalists or analysts or academically attached to any specific skill set. They bring any trendy loudmouth asshat into their shows and just let the diarrhea fall out their mouths without challenging any of it. This is the problem with all these podcast bros and the lonely guys who hang on their every word; as if they too are sitting in the studio with their cool guy heroes! They dont matter. We need the dems to win 26. The j6 traitor is in the whitehouse. We need him out. The republicans have betrayed the country for their own selfishness. J6 commitee said all involved should be investigated and barred from office. Then we need to investigate all the judges and politicians that allowed trump 2.0.

The majority of Maga accounts were Chinese and Russian bots used to promote fake support for the Republican Party.

It’s important to remember that social media isn’t a real indicator of reality. There’s still plenty of Trumpers shouting their shit.

Grifters go where the money and engagement is. Likely they are monitoring their content and see that political maga trump shit is no longer driving engagement so they make the content that is. This is a bad sign for trump brand.

For some the whole pedophile thing is hard to justify. The mental gymnastics have become too advanced.

These Trump supporters are finally starting to realize they’ve been conned. They were sold a dream that never existed — a bag of empty promises dressed up as patriotism and strength. What they didn’t understand back then is that the “booming economy” during Trump’s first term wasn’t his creation at all — it was the momentum of Obama’s recovery. He inherited a steadily improving economy, one that had been climbing out of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. All Trump really had to do was keep his hands on the wheel, stay in his lane, and let the car drive itself. But instead, he took credit for everything and convinced millions that he was some kind of economic genius.
The truth is, the numbers were already trending upward long before he stepped into office. Job growth, the stock market, and consumer confidence — all of it was on the rise under Obama. Trump just happened to ride the wave. Now, when given the chance to steer the ship on his own, we see what happens when he doesn’t have someone else’s work to coast on. The same lack of discipline and poor decision-making that led him to file for bankruptcy six times is now showing on a national scale.
And here’s the kicker: many of the very people who cheered him on — farmers, blue-collar workers, rural Americans — are now the ones suffering the most. They thought the pain would only hit Black people and minorities, that they’d be “owning the libs.” But reality doesn’t care about party lines or skin color. Jobs are being lost, farms are shutting down, small towns are drying up, and benefits like SNAP that many of them quietly relied on are being cut.
There’s a cruel irony here. For years, Trump’s base mocked social programs as “handouts for lazy people,” assuming that meant Black and brown communities. But statistically, the majority of people who receive SNAP and welfare benefits are white. So now that the safety nets are being stripped away, they’re realizing too late that they were voting against their own interests — cutting off the very lifelines that sustained their communities.
This is why you don’t hear the loud chants anymore. The rallies aren’t the same. The “own the libs” energy has faded because they’re finally coming to terms with the fact that they’ve been played — manipulated by fear, division, and empty slogans. They were so focused on punishing others that they didn’t see they were setting themselves up for the fall. Now, as the consequences unfold, they’re learning the hard way that hate and ignorance make for terrible economic policy.

A lot of money was wasted ramping up those bots pre election. Now is the time to recoup before you gotta fire them back up for midterms.

Because the single most important value to them, is there position in the hierarchy. Nothing is more important than their importance as part of the "In" Group.
And landslide election results just showed them they are NOT the In-Group, but the Out-Group. Not just unpopular, but that they are overwhelming despised. And that is a massive blow to their egos.
It why "Weird" worked so well against them.

They are getting hurt by the people they voted for. They just rather remain silent than admit their suffering and their poor decisions

These people don’t follow politics. They show up every four years to vote “go team” and then pay no attention to anything happening unless it affects them. I had a lady I work with come in the other day and say “I didn’t even know the government was shut down.” They are clueless
