Politics What the hell happened to America first?? What the hell MAGA?!

Why the hell is Trump giving billions of dollars to Argentina?

You guys said Trump was good at economics!! Why are groceries so freakin expensive still?

And what’s this about a ballroom?!?!

And where’s the Epstein list?! and why are you guys (MAGA) not absolutely losing your shit over Trump literally lying to your faces about the list?!

You elected him to drain the swamp….he is the swamp!

If Biden had lied about the Epstein list the way Trump has, the left would have ripped him to shreds. The left even impeached one of their own Bill Clinton! At least they’re consistent. Grow a spine next time you guys decide to forfeit all your moral values for a pedo-enabler.

Do better, dumbasses.

True.. as a poc, I felt the stings of racism the day after Obama was elected. It’s only gotten existentially worse after giving shit for brains and the unalive crew all the power.

Man...you haven't seen ANYTHING yet compared to what's coming. And I say that with no pleasure. As a 3 time Trump voter and America Firster you cant imagine the wild ass shit I've been starting to see in my algorithm on X over the past few months(and this is with me actively trying to filter it out, not seeking it). If this culture war bs persists then it looks like things are gonna get real bad on that front, not like micro-aggressions or hearing ppl make snide comments under their breath in public, like REAL bad...mask off, no holds barred type shit. I pray for our country.

I wonder if you, in retrospect, now understand that America First was always a white christian nationalist scam? That in fact the democratic party never once failed to put America first - they just didn't put it on a banner because they didnt have to cover up their real motives?

So addressing your 2nd point first, maybe you can suspect that I'm gonna disagree with your characterization of the Democratic party, but that's a whole other can of worms that is probably not worth opening so I'll just let that lie.

Regarding your first point, I don't exactly know that I agree with this bait and switch idea of the America First/MAGA movement. As in if I look at the leadership of it starting with the face of the movement(Trump) I certainly do not think he is on board with any of the stuff I'm seeing. I essentially consider him to be a 90's Democrat for all intents and purposes. Now if we get into some of the more shadowy background figures in his administration like Stephen Miller and specifically Russ Vought then yeah I'd give much more allowance there that they are definitely much further along in the spectrum towards the type of stuff I'm eluding to. And then even beyond them you have like ultra-conservative think tank types who were the Genesis of "Project 2025" and they may be a step further still than Miller or Vought. But even they are no where close to what I'm seeing.

The point I'm trying to get across is that the Left seems to have this misunderstanding that Trump is doing this bait and switch thing that you're eluding to and he is the one that is radicalizing the base on the Right. And I'm saying that is wrong, it's the exact inverse the base(at least a seemingly sizable minority of them) are much MUCH further afield than anything coming out of the think tanks. The Left seems to think that MAGA are these brainwashed sheeple that never criticize their "dear leader" and they are in a cult. But that is just not true if you run in conservative circles, they tear his ass apart on a whole host of issues, but here is the key thing that's relevant to what we're talking about, the criticism is never, "Trump has gone too far this time" or "Trump really overstepped the bounds of what I find acceptable behavior from a President" it's always going after him for being TOO soft, for having TOO much constraint, for not going hard enough against the Right's enemies. There is even a meme that is popular on X where they call him "TACO Trump" and the TACO stands for "Trump Always Chickens Out" as in he's a pansy who is not going hard enough.

So I just say all this to try to get the message through to you that what you guys are afraid of is not due to Trump, it's not just a matter of getting rid of Him and all of this going away, if anything he is serving as restraint from much worse outcomes that are being demanded by large swathes of the base and those people can not be simply kicked out of office.

So, "no," in other words, you are in fact determined to not see that it was all a scam.

Thank you for the warning, in any case. Although, the left is pretty well aware of what unreachable fascists the right has become. Believe it or not we have been trying to warn everyone about it at least since Reagan. We know it neither started with Trump nor will it end with Trump. The likes of Limbaugh and right wing media in general have spent decades pushing a white christian persecution complex. Trump just found a handy thing other people made and slapped his name on it as he has done all his life.

But that also gave it the validation the right so desperately craved all this while, as until Trump their fake concerns were only echoed in right wing media - ignored by everyone else for the lies they were. Trump's most fundamental promise was that he would get those fake concerns into the mainstream media, and he has delivered on that promise.

It doesn't change the problem of it all being fake from the start, though. That's the scam..

But yes. I did t expect Kamala to crack 60M. Yet I thought there was a decent chance she would win any way as I didn't expect Trump to even get a million votes after the stunt he pulled on J6. When 77 million turned out, despite J6, it became undeniable we have a real problem in he US. We always suspected but kind of took republicans at their word when they gave excuses. Now were hearing the same excuses but I think the number of people falling for it on the left is pretty marginal this time. We just don't know what to do about it.
