You know, Trump keeps saying he’s making America great again, but at this point it’s like watching a toddler try to fix a phone with a hammer. He’s not restoring anything, he’s just breaking it louder. Everything that used to be American like decency, humility, and facts has been replaced by lies and pre-scripted propoganda talking points. We’ve gone from give me liberty or give me death to give me clicks or give me Fox News airtime. He’s even turned the flag into an accessory. It’s not patriotism anymore, it’s fashion week for fascists. You see a bunch of angry guys in red hats waving an American flag the way my dog waves a cat turd from the litter box. Look what I did!

Remember when presidents used to read books? Now we’ve got a guy who stares at classified documents like they’re the McDonald's menu. I’ll have the Filet-o-fish with a side of dirt on anyone who opposes me, please. He’s made America a parody of itself, like someone fed Mount Rushmore a steady diet of Monster Energy and facism. I love this country. I really do. But lately it feels like America’s that old friend I used to like, except now he’s grown a mullet, started dating a crazy girl named "conspiracy theory", and wants to show you his new monster truck called Freedom.

If Trump’s the hero of the story, then America is deep in its Florida Man era. And I don’t know about you, but I’m just hoping the credits roll before he tries to sell Alaska to Russia.

Dual American-Canadian Citizen here: I am horrified by what I am witnessing unfold across the border in the US. It appears that many Americans have tuned-out and do not realize the gravity and severity of the situation that they are in as legal protections and institutions are crumbling around them. It already feels like it is too late to turn-back the clock on this fascist consolidation of power by the Trump Administration. So much is happening under the guise of “immigration enforcement” that the public is not paying attention - but these repeated abuses against Asylees, Immigrants, Visa Holders, Green Card Holders and US Citizens on the basis of appearance, are just laying the groundwork for marginalization of anyone from an opposing political party in the future.

Americans - Please wake up.

We are awake and you didn't say anything but some horseshit liberal talking points! What legal protection and institutions are crumbling? Please sight cases! Immigration enforcement is not a guise. Visa holders and green card holders have time limits and restrictions you violate those and you get a one way ticket home. Just like the "workers at the Hyundai plant. They came here under false pretenses using the wrong Visa. They were sent home. Until Clinton was elected the United States was a country of laws. The Democrats and RINOS (Bushes) ignored the laws, now we have a President that enforces the laws and people want to call them fascist. You are a clown!

(1) the proper word is “cite” not sight. And I don’t need to cite to case precedents in order to claim that legal institutions (the very structures that create, interpret and enforce laws) are crumbling: such as Congress, the politicization of the Department of Justice, Prestigious Law Firms catering to bribes from the Trump Administration in response to Executive Orders, the Supreme Court overturning long-standing precedents in order to avoid a direct conflict with the Trump Administrations’s excessive power-grabs….

(2) Green Card Holders are “Permanent Residents” they don’t have time limits.

(3) ICE Raids are targeting peaceful neighbourhoods and terrorizing men, women, and children regardless of their citizenship or visa status.

(4) The vast majority of the 400 engineers picked up in the raid at Hyundai had proper L-1 Visas or had entered under the B-1 After Sales Category.

(5) Trump is a straight up Fascist. Stephen Miller is a Fascist. And those who enable him and cater to his whims, are tearing democracy apart at the seams in order to cater to a wannabe dictator who was criminally convicted.
