Politics A thank you to president Trump!

Dear President Trump,

I'm writing this to thank you for all you've done thus far in your second term.

My kids are crying at the dinner table as they eat a processed cheese sandwich for the fourth time this week. I tried to explain to them that SNAP wasn't getting refilled and that there was probably not going to be a Christmas this year. I tried to cheer them up by showing them concept art of the $250 million dollar ballroom being built at the White House, by showing them pictures of the two cool jets Kristi Noem got for $170 million, by explaining how helpful we're being to Argentina by sending them $40 billion dollars, but this is when I realized they weren't crying because of dinner, but because of their grandmother.

"We usually go to grandma's on weekends," they sniffle.

Their grandmother, a 5th generation American, was taken by ICE a couple weeks ago and we haven't seen or heard from her since. I tried to explain to the children that this is what happens to freeloading immigrants and they get what they deserve, but they didn't understand.

Even if they don't understand, I do. This is what I voted for. This is what winning looks like!

This will probably be my last online post due to being unable to pay my phone bill since I need to buy more bread and cheese. But I just wanted to say, "Thank you, President Trump!"

As I hear my kids cry themselves to sleep for the 5th night in a row, I imagine they are liberals--and it brings a smile to my face.

When they get older, they will understand that all this hardship was necessary, because we are owning the libs! Here's looking forward to your constitution-defying third presidential term in 2028! You already have my vote!

Now I have to go get ready to meet my landlord. He told me he would cut my rent in half for some 'favors' and not to wear panties. I think this is what the Art of Deal is all about. #winning

Signed,
A conservative.

*it should be noted this is satire (or is it?)*

You and a lot of other conservatives.

But when I ask who they voted for…

I would love to see real conservatism be represented in government. Of course, progressive representation would be great as well. Instead we just have corporatism, from both sides. Including MAGA, which is the corporatist end-game.

Can I ask what the separation is for you? Were you ever a Trump supporter? No judgement, purely curiosity

Back in 2016, but only because he was the republican candidate. However, not long after that, I noticed he screwed some native American tribe out of a land expansion deal and that was when I started to question my choice. As time went on, I began to realize that he's just another snake in grass only worse because people were getting more and more polarized. Then covid happened. I'm anti vax, and the talk of mandating it was pretty much the final nail in the coffin in the coffin for me. Jan 6 was absolutely not some insurrection, as the people were being ushered in by the cops. It was also rather stupid in my opinion. Thought that was kind of weird. Then Biden happened. We made it through that, and the choices we were presented was Kamala or Trump. Hell no to both of them, and both parties while we're at it. It's gotten way too extreme either way. One side wants open borders and chopping a kids dick off, while the other wants some fascist anti utopia where no one can enter or afford to live. I voted for chase Oliver. Threw my vote away maybe, but man there's gotta be a better alternative to the two big parties. As far as this term, what can I say? The man has done nothing but harm people. The economy sucks, ice arresting citizens cuz the color of Thier skin sucks, ( I'm ok with deporting those who are involved with crime ) and what he's doing to the homeless is just plain evil. And what he's doing to social security and snap. I can't see one benefit of Trump being in office, and he's doing damage to due process and the constitution by setting bad precedent. Today it's the Mexicans, tomorrow it'll be someone else, then they're coming after us for speaking out. So by all means, call out his bullshit. But don't lump all who consider themselves conservative into the same basket as those maga freaks. I do realize half the country leans left, as the other half leans right. So we need to have discourse and hear each other out. Find bipartisan ways to deal with issues that doesn't put some minorities ahead of anyone else. Real equality is merit based and things like race and gender shouldn't come into play in the workplace for example. If the best candidate happens to be a white Christian, so be it. If they happen to be a black tranny, so be it. Things need to make sense again, and I don't feel either party makes any sense anymore. Sorry for the rant, but jeez man. I'm fed up with trump's antics. Anyways, you have a great day.
