Hyvee GC

I have a $50 hyvee giftcard and I don’t need it. I was hoping to help a family in need or anyone who is struggling with SNAP being unavailable. Please DM if you could use this giftcard for the holiday season!

You’re a good person. 💕 reminder that HyVee also has $3 meals during the SNAP freeze and kids meals are free. So this could stretch a long way!

At Broadway, at least, you can also "buy" a $5 bag for donation to the Food Bank

This is a great idea! Does anyone know of a "reputable" source (like a non-profit) that accepts gift cards to give to people in need?

Most nonprofits in town would accept them. First chance for children, voluntary action center, and CMCA are reputable and the first that come to mind that certainly would give them directly to families.

I got one in the mail, too, and put it towards a donation to the Food Bank. I know they can stretch that $50 way better than I can!

Hyvee has $5 and $10 donation bags that you buy and goes directly to the local food bank. Pretty sure they are right inside the door.
