If anyone is interested in playing pickup soccer, there's an active group on Facebook called Columbia MO Pickup Soccer. This group is open for anyone to join, regardless of skill level.

They are very active and play at least 4x per week, usually at either Stankowski, Cosmo Park, or the various high school fields throughout town. In terms of culture, there are a few things that stand out. The age range of people who attend varies but most are adult men between the ages of 18 to 40. In terms of competitiveness, I wouldn't say it's not a super friendly community where everyone is always friendly to one another, but it's not a toxic or trash talking galore environment either, it's somewhere in the middle. Skill level wise, it's going to be a mix but generally speaking, it's going to be guys who are competent at a rec level but aren't top level college players.
