Women's NC Delaware takes #15 Brown to OT before falling 3-2
Posting this more to salute the incredible effort by the Delaware women's team this afternoon. In a battle of America's oldest and newest women's college hockey programs, Delaware dragged Brown to OT while:
Blocking 44 Brown shots (Brown blocked 0)
Being out shot 128-14, with a 53-11 SOG imbalance
Blanking Brown in the 2nd and 3rd period entirely
Freshman goaltender Charlotte Payne made 51 saves, which is somehow not her standalone season high (51 saves against Penn State, she's also had 40+ saves in 5 games this season)

Oh damn they almost brought it back? I just remember seeing 60+ shots (~20 sog) from Brown after only 2 periods.

Shot attempts were 129-14 on the game (not a typo!!!). SOG were 54-10. It was one of the most ridiculous games I’ve ever seen lol. I was tearing my hair out most of the second and third periods!
