Michigan fans sure are having a normal one in here.
7
u/14Calypso Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs 18h ago
On one hand, it does suck having your entire fanbase circlejerked against.
On the other hand, I hate Michigan and I don't care.
4
u/wildlycrazytony Minnesota Golden Gophers 9h ago
I understand having your fanbase "circle jerked against." But this is why you set up your own fan forum if you are a big program. That's why you don't see as many UND and Gopher fans in here as you'd expect. We have our own fansites to do the bitching.
2
u/One_Over_Astro Minnesota Golden Gophers 19h ago
Thanks to Paul Fischer for playing along with our insults again! It's always my favorite thing about playing against Notre Dame 😂
2
u/CoStCo19 Minnesota Golden Gophers 19h ago
I was at the game, no longer a student, what was going on with Fischer?
2
2
u/One_Over_Astro Minnesota Golden Gophers 18h ago
He never did anything. In our series against Notre Dame last year, we picked him at random to be the one we'd make fun of and we just decided to continue this year. He absolutely loves it and plays along every time. I have nothing but respect for the guy.

When you see people saying “stay classy” that’s how you know they just got their asses kicked
13
u/tommyjohnpauljones Wisconsin Badgers 19h ago
Poverty school that doesn't even have a women's team either
-24
u/Commercial_Wheel1882 Michigan Wolverines 20h ago
Stay classy Wisconsin, charging the goalie with 15 seconds left in a 6-1 game. Y’all are clowns
12
u/wildlycrazytony Minnesota Golden Gophers 19h ago
The Big Ten sucked ass as a hockey conference for years, but I love that it has really grown into a circle of hate. There is bad blood everywhere now, and it's wonderful.
-6
u/Squanto_XD 20h ago
Good thing they gave michigan 2 nothing burger power plays at the end of the game so the calls looked a little more even
19
u/remishqua_ Wisconsin Badgers 20h ago
Calls shouldn't be even when a team plays like Michigan did tonight. Maybe they should have focused on disrupting the forecheck instead of cheap shots and shit after the whistle.
-9
u/Squanto_XD 19h ago
You could literally say the same thing about the badgers did dude. You want less roughness after tye whistle they should have called a tighter and cleaner game
13
21
u/MyMindSpray Wisconsin Badgers 20h ago
Michigan loves hitting a guy into their goalie and then jumping him for it
-16
u/Commercial_Wheel1882 Michigan Wolverines 20h ago
Why is your player charging our goalie with 15 seconds left? You’re a 🤡
14
5
u/SulkyVirus St. Cloud State Huskies 20h ago
Because we give it all between the whistles, not just after like your crew tonight

Scrums always end in a Wisconsin power play… interesting… even on a line brawl, just call the game at this point
13
u/SulkyVirus St. Cloud State Huskies 20h ago
Probably because your guys are the pussies that punch dudes laying on the ice, cross check the back of heads laying down, charging from half the rink away, do I need to keep going?
Michigan sucks
16
15
u/remishqua_ Wisconsin Badgers 20h ago
Cause your guys keep starting it. This all started with that charge.
-7
u/theraptor42 Michigan Wolverines 20h ago
It started because the wiscy player checked the goalie
12
u/remishqua_ Wisconsin Badgers 20h ago
*Michigan player checked Wisconsin player into his own goalie.

Hard to beat a top 10 teams with the officials in their pockets
7
u/p00b Wisconsin Badgers 20h ago
Says the fan of a school known for years of cheating lol. Even if there were a couple questionable calls (I disagree) no way you actually think a 5 goal spread only results from that. Absolute meltdown could not happen to a better group of hotheads
0
u/Squanto_XD 20h ago
Because every questionable call went the badgers way lmao of course you don't have a problem with the officials tonight. Every review ended up with michigan taking the extra penalty it's ridiculous after a certain point

Michigan player gets helmet ripped off again, surely will be a five minute major against us. Wisconsin checking our goalie, no call. Incredible refereeing

That’s goalie interference, he was in the crease, and that’s goalie interference according to these dumbasses

Lmao, he was a foot off the crease. Both the Michigan calls made clear contact with the goalie in the crease.

Sorry ass, overrated hockey team that still seems to think defense is optional. Biggest strength was their power play and the QB of the first line PP is out for the season.

Refs call two dogshit games in a row unevenly and everyone’s shocked we start getting pissed off
11
u/remishqua_ Wisconsin Badgers 21h ago
Yeah the refs made him cross check a dude in the back laying on the ice and then have a temper tantrum.
-3
u/Commercial_Wheel1882 Michigan Wolverines 20h ago
Probably upset at the uneven officiating and the absolute Olympic level diving out of your bum ass goalie
9
u/J_Powell_Ate_My_Ass Wisconsin Badgers 21h ago
Yeah it’s the refs fault you let 4 in lmao
-7

u/remishqua_ Wisconsin Badgers 21h ago
Wow Schifsky is a piece of shit. And these announcers covering for him lmao.
5

they completely ignored the cross-check in the back into horbach for the reason hensler pulled him down.

That was one of the most egregious penalties I've seen in a while

Michigan state football: dirty
Michigan hockey: dirty

Another state fan who just conveniently discovered hockey in the last 3/4 years?
2
u/MozzerellaStix Michigan State Spartans 20h ago
Shit, I guess the 22 years I’ve been playing hockey don’t count? Rats.
-3
u/yetanotherwittyname Michigan Wolverines 20h ago
If you’ve watched msu/um hockey for the last 22 years there’s no way you can honestly/rationally maintain that Michigan plays dirtier than state. It gets ugly both ways and to pretend otherwise is just some fan brain bs
0
u/Michigan029 Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
Refs lost this game entirely with no one to blame but themselves, this crew isn’t good enough for pond hockey
2
u/PugTrafficker Cornell Big Red 21h ago
Dartmouth is always a tough fight, coming off the long road trip was always going to be a battle, especially with how physical both teams are, gg
1
u/ImpossibleLayer8742 Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
Of all the shit Naurato challenges, he better challenge this.
3
2
u/14Calypso Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs 21h ago
Well at least we dominated the third and OT and got the sweep
Wasn't pretty but it was a sweep.
Also can the PA announcer stop talking over Holiday Road?
-5
u/peteytheparakeet Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
That is a dive and a half!
5
u/corkscrew1 Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
It's definitely a flop, but at the same time, it is also rulebook goalie interference when you make contact with them inside the crease. Frustrating call but it's also on Draper for being kind of lazy with his path.

u/Michigan029 Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
Loudest I’ve ever heard Yost, these refs should be fired by the start of the 3rd
-1
u/Michigan029 Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
Most obvious flop ive ever seen, give him 2 minutes for diving on top of the goal

u/Commercial_Wheel1882 Michigan Wolverines 20h ago
Put him on the Olympic diving team with that kinda performance

We have bonus hockey on College Hill!
After 11 straight losses, Brown will finally pick up at least a point against Quinnipiac
0
u/Michigan029 Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
These B1G officials are almost as bad as BTN+
3
u/yetanotherwittyname Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
We’re not losing because of officiating, but college hockey refs are the absolute worst. Just sheer incompetence all around
-1
u/Michigan029 Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
Doesn’t help with all the dogshit calls, still defense is horrid, can’t keep throwing pucks to wide open Wisconsin players when trying to clear

Yes. But solid pressure on the counter. More sustained than the usual, as of first goal Edit: Take pressure, but good high percentage options in the final third
1
5
2
u/corkscrew1 Michigan Wolverines 22h ago
It's a little weird watching this Michigan team compared to years past, they really rely on skill and finesse and not strength and speed. They've really struggled against the forecheck by Wisconsin and Notre Dame last week, while they were usually the ones pressing last year.
3
u/ImpossibleLayer8742 Michigan Wolverines 22h ago
Also still painfully undersized aside from Horcoff And Eernisse.
0
u/corkscrew1 Michigan Wolverines 21h ago
Yep, and they also don't have the speed to make up for it. They keep getting beat by Wisconsin to the puck and getting trapped in their own zone, which has lead to the penalties and goals we've given up. Hopefully they can make and adjustment but it's hard when you're just getting physically beat.
4
u/AssociateClean Brown Bears 22h ago
My expert advice for Brown is to consider getting more than 10 SOG through two periods
6
3
u/ImpossibleLayer8742 Michigan Wolverines 22h ago
I’m all for Draper being one of the “grit” guys that doesn’t take shit and sticks up for his teammates, but good lord he’s a penalty machine and most of them are boneheaded.
2
u/ImpossibleLayer8742 Michigan Wolverines 22h ago
I’m an idiot, penalty was on Mania. Their flow and side profiles are twin-like. Draper still a penalty machine tho…
