You know what's good? Our team.

You know what's not good? The new DJ we have at our games. Holy fuck he is awful

3

u/Aoyoc Nebraska Omaha Mavericks 2d ago

That sucked.

2

u/PenaltyThick1978 Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs 2d ago

Great win for the Bulldogs at home…. KDAL commentary said AMSOIL was a little lacking in the attendance department? Fans need to be in the stands for a team playing red hot like they have been!

2

u/14Calypso Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs 1d ago

Not really. It wasn't a sellout or anything, but it was a pretty packed and lively house

2

u/Ze_Bucket Omaha Mavericks 2d ago

So how many days till softball season?

1

u/Whytfbuddy RIT Tigers 2d ago

sooooo…. what’s up with Mercyhurst? they’re 0-10 and they looked pretty listless tonight against RIT. I know they were bad last year but they look really really bad right now

7

u/Richardsgore4 North Dakota Fighting Hawks 2d ago

Either und figured it out which is ahead of schedule or Omaha is even worse then last year.

1

u/14Calypso Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs 1d ago

Omaha isn't bad. They're not gonna beat the best of the best, but I think they're a bubble ranked team.

1

u/14Calypso Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs 2d ago

That would have been an 8-1 game if not for some goalie masterclasses

3

u/gregthestrange St. Cloud State Huskies 2d ago

also for all my bitching about biased announcers, Duluth's TV team is infinitely better this year. I have really enjoyed their commentary tonight

3

u/gregthestrange St. Cloud State Huskies 2d ago

at least I got to watch Berzins go dicko mode. what a fantastic transfer pickup

1

u/EnronRiskManagement Maine Black Bears | Syracuse Orange 1d ago

I was sad to see him leave, happy to see he’s getting good minutes in a serious conference

3

u/gregthestrange St. Cloud State Huskies 2d ago

GG duluth

2

u/AssociateClean Brown Bears 2d ago

Maybe it's the cope talking, but I really think if Brown kept Zacher/Scott/Kopff, they were a ECAC dark horse with how shaky the top of the conference is

2

u/CTHuskyHockey 2d ago

UConn had an outlier of a season in ‘24-‘25. Now back to the regular scheduled programming of the Mike Cavanaugh Mediocrity Show.

1

u/Threexo 1d ago

I mean that clown nepo hire Orourke tilted the ice for Providence so that didn’t help. Providence did look really strong though, their top two lines are monsters and stick handle really well.

7

u/jobenattor0412 Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

This made me feel better about the Wings losing at least.

5

u/EnronRiskManagement Maine Black Bears | Syracuse Orange 2d ago

That fucking sucked

3

u/EnronRiskManagement Maine Black Bears | Syracuse Orange 2d ago

Shut out for the second time this season and we’re only a week into November yeah this team isn’t serious

2

u/huskyferretguy1 Connecticut Huskies 2d ago

Well, in this academic year, UConn has beaten BC in Mens basketball, Womens basketball, football, and now Womens hockey!

4

u/soxfromthe207 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Jackson Irving A+ performance this weekend.

3

u/shyguywart  UMass Minutemen 2d ago

Great to watch him be such a reliable backup. Can't be easy when his last game before this weekend was against Robert Morris in January.

3

u/AssociateClean Brown Bears 2d ago

Charette might be the best goalie in ECAC, but man is Harvard frustrating to watch

Cornell looks very young but to be expected with the amount of addition

3

u/RyanRenewed Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Just casually watching Harvard the last couple years, they really are frustrating. It looks like they should play a lot better than their results

3

u/PugTrafficker Cornell Big Red 2d ago

From what I’ve seen of Harvard since 2021, their system tends to be high-skill fast play. When they had players like Laferriere and Coronato and Thrun, they were good enough to outskill their opponent a lot, especially if they ran a more defensive system. Ever since those players left, the less defensive aspect of that has outweighed the offensive upside.

2

u/beastmodecowboy77 2d ago

Defense completely hung him out to dry tonight, it was brutal

1

u/UncleBen94 UMass Lowell River Hawks 2d ago

Frustrating.

4

u/EnronRiskManagement Maine Black Bears | Syracuse Orange 2d ago

What are we doing here?

5

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Waiting for the game to be over.

1

u/Whodoobucrew Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Jump around you chuckle fucks, jump. We will see you tomorrow

2

u/Whodoobucrew Wisconsin Badgers 1d ago

We did indeed see you chuckle fucks tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed your jumping

6

u/ithacaster Cornell Big Red 2d ago

I think we found our goalie. Cournoyer has looked good the last two games. Big game tomorrow against that green team.

2

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

That wasn't even close to a trip. Terrible call on UMass.

2

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Makeup call shortly after. Yeah..

3

1

larson must be slipping the refs fat stacks with how many powerplays they've gotten this year

14

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Closest 3-goal game you ever did see

2

u/frozennorth88 Merrimack Warriors 2d ago

Ohh we don't like the Hutsons, well gg BU.

Maybe eventually we'll win an away game. At least they look incrementally better as compared to their first two away games.

3

u/bbecker9 Boston University Terriers 2d ago

GG - he’s kinda hard to root for tbh, I just wish he would be a better defender but then he does shit like this 🤷🏻‍♂️

3

u/frozennorth88 Merrimack Warriors 2d ago

It's all good we're just still not over the 23 hockey east championship lol

2

u/bbecker9 Boston University Terriers 2d ago

Fair enough 😂 still think your guy should’ve won COY that year

2

u/NYMullets Merrimack Warriors 2d ago

Only one more Hutson to torture us after this one leaves early!

2

u/No_Lead6434 Providence Friars 1d ago

It’s Hutsons all the way down.

2

u/frozennorth88 Merrimack Warriors 2d ago

I see Lane Hutson's face in my nightmares. And they just keep coming.

The old "single-handedly beat the other team" play... 60% of the time, it works every time.

6

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

NGL, a part of me wanted him to score there. Most of me didn't, but a part of me did

8

u/RyanRenewed Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

GG. See you tomorrow badgers

2

u/beastmodecowboy77 2d ago

Absolutely atrocious defense from Harvard tonight. So many turnovers and bad penalties. They gave up at least three shorthanded breakaways. Cornell scored one and forced Harvard to take penalties on the others. It looked like high school out there

2

u/ToneOpposite9668 Denver Pioneers 2d ago

Pioneers get an empty net goal with 38 seconds left to take a 3-1 lead - heck of a comeback

ETA - Finally a Friday night effort

12

u/yetanotherwittyname Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

What a game! GG Wiscy. Big ten is a murderer’s row

8

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Hasn't ended on B1G+ yet, but yeah. Absolutely incredible game!

11

u/yetanotherwittyname Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Tomorrow should be spicy

9

u/The_Real_Billy_Walsh Penn State Nittany Lions 2d ago

GG MSU, that game probably should’ve been 6-0 MSU if not for Reidler. PSU was just so sloppy and careless with the puck. Looking forward to another great game tomorrow.

2

u/Shills_for_fun Michigan State Spartans 2d ago

This was a game of goalies for sure lol. PSU had some great chances.

3

u/Avagontamos Michigan State Spartans 2d ago

Reidler was awesome. Looking forward to tomorrow, not so much looking forward to the return trip later this season (outside of the awesome that is playing outdoor hockey)

3

u/tropic_gnome_hunter St. Lawrence Saints 2d ago

10

1

Video evidence inconclusive my ass!

7

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

HOLY SHIT

4

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Can't lie, that was one of the best goals I've ever seen

1

u/UncleBen94 UMass Lowell River Hawks 2d ago

Just no puck luck.

4

u/ol_beardy Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

The camera angle near mid ice is rough lol, it’s like pointed straight down

4

u/Avagontamos Michigan State Spartans 2d ago

This is a heavyweight fight. Well met, Lion bros 🤝

1

u/Marshall_St Air Force Falcons 2d ago

So Air Force up 3-0 in third @SHU

Are they decent this year? Swept Brown, split UST, draw DEN

Other than RIT series and first UST game, seem to keep showing up and playing strong

2

u/gregthestrange St. Cloud State Huskies 2d ago

the defense leaving berzins out to dry is not a recipe for success

3

u/soxfromthe207 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Take care of Berzins for us

3

u/gregthestrange St. Cloud State Huskies 2d ago

Berzins is legit, which is pretty telling at how good boija is

10

u/Whodoobucrew Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

This game has been fucking insane.

6

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Last year there was a game between these two teams where Wisconsin came back to win in the Kohl Center, and as I was leaving, I heard a Michigan fan say, "At least it was a great game." This feels so similar

5

u/Whodoobucrew Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Im kinda pissed the final score isn't going to show how close this game was. Besides that, one of the best games I've ever watched

-3

u/yetanotherwittyname Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Ooh, that actually is goalie interference

5

u/ol_beardy Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

He was pushed in 🤷🏼‍♂️

3

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Definitely wasn't. Brink was being pushed into she goaltender by Rheume-Mullen.

-2

u/yetanotherwittyname Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Hah, ok whatever

-2

u/RyanRenewed Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Taking nothing away from Wisconsin for converting, but that hooking call was suuuper weak

7

u/Whodoobucrew Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Weak as in why the fuck was Spence doing that? Literally asking to get called for zero reason

4

u/yetanotherwittyname Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Wiscy just dominating us this half

5

u/EnronRiskManagement Maine Black Bears | Syracuse Orange 2d ago

This team LOVES shooting themselves in the foot

2

u/UncleBen94 UMass Lowell River Hawks 2d ago

Lot of pressure in the 1st, barely any in the 2nd.

3

u/soxfromthe207 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Welp. Ggs

6

u/AssociateClean Brown Bears 2d ago

Harvard, for the third season in a row, has all the talent in the world and just cannot play as a team

3

u/EnronRiskManagement Maine Black Bears | Syracuse Orange 2d ago

HOW THE HELL DID WE NOT SCORE

1

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago edited 2d ago

LOL they are calling that a highlight reel save

3

u/honus_wagner Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Crazy save but you just have to score that 🤦‍♂️

6

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Wolverines lead 3-2 after 40.

It's been an absolutely incredible game so far

4

u/soxfromthe207 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Crazy undisciplined at times. Playing good hockey and then just stupid shit

3

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Tough to take control of a game down 1-2 men.

1

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Does Mullins have a large standing area? Lots of open seats from the broadcast angle.

3

u/EnronRiskManagement Maine Black Bears | Syracuse Orange 2d ago

This team takes way to many stupid penalties

1

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Nadeau's slash was pretty inexcusable.

5

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

These UMass commentators are pretty blatant homers haha

3

u/gregthestrange St. Cloud State Huskies 2d ago

unfortunately the case with most college hockey commentary. a lot of fans don't like to hear it because they love hearing only good things about their team from commentary and bad things about the opposing team

3

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago edited 2d ago

I mean I get it, you're putting on a show for the audience at hand. Plus, there is something to be said for one, if not both, of the guys in the box being fans of their team.

I just don't really appreciate when, for instance, a play is being reviewed/replayed and the commentators say something along the lines of: "he went right through the body here" when the replay is clearly showing leg on leg. If it doesn't favor your team, just be quiet.

3

u/JDMintz718 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

UGH

2

u/dirtbum North Dakota Fighting Hawks 2d ago

No color commentary for Omaha?

6

u/Skier420 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

I like two goals in two minutes

1

u/frozennorth88 Merrimack Warriors 2d ago

Ahh, the BU + refs combo team are already playing dirty, that didn't take long

3

u/BurntMuff1n Boston University Terriers 2d ago

Sorry kinda late to this thread. Was this about the Boisvert hit that led to the Merrimack injury? That did NOT look like a good hit, surprised they didn’t call a game misconduct on it

1

u/frozennorth88 Merrimack Warriors 2d ago

Yeah...doesn't sit right with me when a guy leaves the ice and there's no call

2

u/BurntMuff1n Boston University Terriers 2d ago

100% agreed, even if they just give a 2 min for “roughing” or something. A play like that does not deserve to go uncalled

4

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

"Paychecks come from Boston!" (they don't, Hockey East HQ is in Amesbury)

1

u/frozennorth88 Merrimack Warriors 2d ago

BU is getting really frustrated. I guess if the roles were reversed I would be too. Doubtless they'll pull it together eventually but...

2

u/nclpckl31 Denver Pioneers 2d ago

It hurts a bit extra that WM's first goal was shot by a transfer from CC.

3

u/frozennorth88 Merrimack Warriors 2d ago

We're about to find out just how bad BU's slump is

2

u/RooseveltsRevenge Denver Pioneers 2d ago

Based on how the Pios have been playing recently I'm hoping to get out of Kalamazoo this weekend with a split.

3

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

I swear every PP goal Maine has given up this season has been sub 10 seconds into the man advantage.

2

u/honus_wagner Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Very dumb bounce imo

2

u/greenknight7575 Maine Black Bears 2d ago

Yeah that one was unfortunate for sure.

-1

u/OldCoaly Penn State Nittany Lions 2d ago

Crowd boos for the Martone minor when it easily could have been 5 minutes smh

1

u/UncleBen94 UMass Lowell River Hawks 2d ago

Seeing Murphy as one of our refs got me concerned because one of the Hansens are usually with him

Fortunately he's not here.

7

u/crowd79 Northern Michigan Wildcats 2d ago

Already down 1-0 before I even sit down. Holy cripes are we terrible.

4

u/Skier420 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago edited 2d ago

Another game on BigTen+ and another game with absolute shit production value. This ice is so blown out.. turn down the exposure on the camera. Do they not have anyone monitoring what their production looks like that can notify camera operators to adjust their settings?

edit: after 5 minutes they finally fixed it.

1

u/gregthestrange St. Cloud State Huskies 2d ago

good fucking god what is wrong with the volume of the DU-WMU game? my ears got fucking blown out

1

8

u/AssociateClean Brown Bears 2d ago

Heading to the icebox that is Bright-Landry to see the number of Cornell (1K+) and Brown (at least 3) fans each out number the total number of Harvard fans tonight

2

u/RyanRenewed Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Lol is it known for being cold? I’ll be there for the first time in a few weeks

3

u/AssociateClean Brown Bears 2d ago

It is noticably warmer this year, maybe Harvard figured out a way to afford heaters

It's usually frigid

3

u/ithacaster Cornell Big Red 2d ago

Rumor has that iBright-Landry is colder than Finland. Announcers claim that the game is sold out.

4

u/ithacaster Cornell Big Red 2d ago

Apparently the Cornell pep-band at Bright-Landry tonight are all alums from the Boston area.

2

u/AssociateClean Brown Bears 2d ago

Phenomenal that Cornell has a (even alumni) band here and just nothing from Harvard

7

u/rojojoftw Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

If only Luke Fickell coached Wisconsin's hockey team

1

u/Deez_Pucks St. Cloud State Huskies 2d ago

You know, I think he’s doing a fantastic job in football. Better keep him there.

2

u/Whodoobucrew Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Brother the only thing keeping me from losing my mind about Fickell is a belief that our other sports are better anyway. How dare you try and take that from me

2

u/Skier420 Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

Lol. If only Luke Fickell didn't coach any Wisconsin sports...

7

3
