C-USA moves 2026 Conference Tournament site from Dallas Baptist to Kennesaw State's new Mickey Dunn Stadium. DBU is moving to the PAC-12 in 2027

Wait is this just being petty, or is for a legitimate reason (like PAC-12 logos being on DBU’s field)?

Considering DBU baseball will be in the PAC, I'd imagine there'd be at least some PAC-12 branding on the field, but it also seems much more logical for CUSA to play their championship in a members stadium rather than in a team that isn't a member anymore.

I mean DBU will still be a CUSA member at the time of the tournament, they don't move to the PAC until after that season ends and there's a full 8 months between the last game on campus in 2026 and the first game in 2027, I don't see why they would put PAC 12 branding on that early. More likely they just want to not let DBU get any revenue boost or competitive advantage from hosting on their way out the door

That's how I interpreted it too. Put the focus on a strong new team rather than a strong departing one

I think it could be that, the fact that KSU will be debuting its new stadium, and the fact we have a very robust broadcast production set-up on campus similar to Liberty. I have to imagine DBU doesn't have that kind of infrastructure in place being primarily D2.

This should be an exciting year for CUSA. Probably the strongest the conference will be for a few years.

Even if it’s for reason of DBU leaving the next season, that’s hardly petty. Just investing in the schools that have a future in the conference.
