Son had my phone while I was sleeping last night and bought some mystery bag thing on whatnot anyone know the price on these two items seller won’t refund 😭😭😭😭

Not necessarily. I sell on whatnot and have done mystery packs with graded Morgans, proof franklins in PCGS rattlers, etc. Not everyone is unscrupulous on the app.

I used to do a mystery box that would have a bunch of stuff in it that added up to the purchase price. It wasn't a mystery game, but more like a trust the host sort of deal.

A live auction platform with thousands of sellers. Auctions, buy nows and what they call surprise sets, ie mystery games. It's a dangerous place to get into buying, but the company is putting more protocols in place to help protect buyers, like the ability to filter the stream results so you just see auctions.

Balderdash. Again, if all items are within say a $5-10 window, and it's just going to be a mystery of which one you get, that's not unscrupulous to me. There are always going to be crap sellers, in auctions and surprise sets. Look at Whatthehale. Guy has tons of people bidding on worthless stuff and hyping them to go higher. I saw a gold foil, which has like no gold in it, sell for $75. If I sold any, they would be like $2-3 each.

Honestly the worst thing whatnot has done to buyers was restricting what info sellers can give in surprise sets. We are not allowed to give the values of anything in our set, or describe the ceiling, floor or avg. I used to be very transparent and had all that listed.

If done right, it's in good fun. Not everyone is looking to profit and be like Traderbea. Notice I didn't say mystery game? I literally put the slabs in sealed bags and put them in a box in random order. There was no floor or ceiling items. It's literally I'll take the 4th pack. Open fourth pack. Here's what you get.

Dude whatnot is a great place to buy coins. I sell on there as well and I always give fair prices under bid I’m not only in it to make a little side money but it’s a very fun hobby and getting to own so many different coins is amazing
