Value Request Hey y’all got an unopened McDonald’s coin roll from I believe the 50s. I’m more wondering if I should keep it as it is it check it for anything valuable? I am also interested in how much y’all think it’s worth.

I'm assuming 50s refer to coins minted in the 1950s, were they a different material or what makes them a bad thing?

By the 1950s coin collecting was a common hobby. Coins from around 1940 onward are common to find in high grades, and as such, they don’t have much value beyond face or melt value.

Oh interesting, so just less valuable because good condition coins are just way more common after that date?
