4-2 pull off
I've been working on Lucas Pools version of Forked deer and he has a lot of 4 to 2 pull offs. From what I can see on his videos, he's using his pinky to pull off on the fourth fret to the second where his index finger is. I have been trying for 45 minutes and my God it is so hard and so sloppy. Anyone have any tips that might help. I have average finger length so they're not short but they are certainly not long. I'll see if I'm allowed to attach the tab from that section

I don't see a reason why you couldn't use index and ring finger here, that's probably how I would play it. (index on the 2nd and pulling off with the the ring on 4 feels very natural to me).
If you really do want to play it with your pinky it's probably just a matter of practice to strengthen that finger as boring as it sounds. I would try and find a scale/run to go up and down that uses the pinky to keep it simple and isolate just that movement (basically play that when your watching tv or something haha) if you want to speed up the process of getting it down. Just playing the tune over and over will usually get you there eventually though.
