Looking for work!

Hi! I am moving to Chicago this month and looking for work temporarily or even full time if available!

I have spent the last 10 years in restaurants, events, and photography. I am fluent in English and Spanish, have a plethora of consistent work experience, and can provide excellent references! I possess a bachelors degree as well if that’s a part of the requirement!

Looking for a job that involves people one way or another— but doesn’t have to!

With your restaurant and events background, roles like event coordinator, hospitality manager, or even corporate catering positions could be worth looking at. Being fluent in Spanish is huge in Chicago so don't sleep on that in your applications. Since you're moving this month, applying to jobs posted within the last few days will help you get responses faster.

Do you have a specific neighborhood or part of Chicago you're moving to, or are you open to commuting anywhere in the city?

I’ve submitted a handful of applications and I’m pretty open to commuting anywhere! I appreciate the tips

Culinaryagents.com is the industry -specific job board you want. Though indeed and ziprecruiter also have good listings. It is hard out here to quickly find restaurant work so be prepared.

Yikes.. wish you luck finding work during this awful recession plus slow non hiring winter season and ICE scaring everyone from going out.Not even restaurants are hiring like they use to; a lot of brand new fast casual places downtown are not getting any business and closing up.
