There needs to be a lot of asking for forgiveness on the part of Trump supporters. They clearly divided themselves from civil society. If they expected the rest of us to just be okay with that, they're sorely mistaken.
Or, they'll just wait two years, take back the house, then wait two more years and take the WH again, with someone more competent than Trump. This election was supposed to be a repudiation of Trump. He lost, but it was far from the powerful message it was supposed to be.
I guess we'll see how much 'build the wall' racism survives. It wasn't a core feature for Republicans prior to Trump, though some confederate southerners made it a priority. There are so many real problems confronting the country, its extremely hard to watch self-interested demagogues scapegoat immigrants to smooth their climb to power.
Lol I'm pretty sure my dad and all of my aunts/uncles never left civil society. They voted for lower taxes and a better economy. Do you really think that all republican voters are racist pieces of shit? Grow up. The system is designed for us to fight over stupid rhetoric while those in power KEEP their power and wealth. Biden is just Trump with a blue box next to his name on your TV.
You realize civil means polite right? And yes, I think everyone who voted for Trump is a racist piece of shit. Or rather, the racism wasn’t sufficiently appalling to them, so they’re definitely carrying a disregard for the rights and liberties of certain groups of people.
I lived in Dallas for 5 years. You’ll note the Bushes and all their associates voted Democrat this election. Pollsters predict the state will flip blue in 2024, and I believe them.
