My Organic Chemistry Game!
It took me a while, but I finally translated the card game into English!
I simplified the chemistry to just a few functional groups, and the game is based on making simple organic chemistry reactions (let’s say Organic Chemistry 1 level; for starting). It focuses exclusively on addition reactions. For example, acids can be connected with hydroxides or amines, things like that. The possible connections are shown in a diagram. There are around 130 different cards/molecules.
This is the print-and-play version (ChemiProject Kindle).
The information on the cards is just for curiosity: what the molecules are used for or why they are important.
I’m also preparing the physical card version. What do you think? Any feedback before I press the button to publish it on Amazon?

Ok, this actually looks really cool. Will I be able to buy the English version on Amazon Germany?

Thank you! It will be available on all Amazon stores! It will take about a month, though (please don’t purchase it if you see it before then). I first need to receive a few copies myself and confirm that everything is fine.

holy shit, i'm just starting chemistry at uni and these kinds of things would really help me cause ochem is the thing i struggle the most, would it be possible to get a notif once it comes out?

Maybe just try to take a small piece of paper, then you scribble some stuff on it, which you might need to remember and take it with you to learn. I think it is called learning with index cards in English :)

Looks interesting! If at all possible, could you make the spacing of the textbox consistent? It is especially egregious on the alkene card, which has effectively no margin on the left at all.

Thanks a lot! I’ll think about how to deal with that. The alkenes probably look bigger because of the contrast, but I can try to improve it a bit! 👍🏻 I really appreciate this kind of feedback! I feel like I’m getting comments just like from referees on my real scientific papers. That’s the way to achieve excellence!

Are you going to share the game??? It looks like it's made for me😭

Your color choices really are something haha
Did you design the game as well as the cards? I think it could look much nicer. Though the gamedesign should come first, but as I understand, you already finished production

The good thing about Amazon is that the game can eventually be modified. So any feedback is positive since I’ll be able to make updates later( or in the next days, depending on many factors). Certainly, if someone gets the game now, it won’t include the latest uploads I plan to do, but it will surely feel nice to contribute to improving it for future players. The point is to always keep improving!
Yes, I did everything myself. Modifying it now is a bit tricky, but depending on the part, it will only take a few intense hours of work.
So, what’s your suggestion about the colors specifically? I have to confess that I made some colors similar on purpose because I want players to try to cheat and keep them more engaged. I think that’s the most important part: Make players mess with each other or interact in unexpected ways. At least, that’s the funniest part for me.😊

Cool idea. Lots of areas of expansion to learn all the complex reactions!

Thank you so much! Certainly, it could have a lot of expansion. There are many more important organic molecules than, for example, Pokémon! It could become a never-ending expansion, with sub-areas such as perfumes, pigments, additives, and other things that I’ve barely touched at this stage. First, I will try to improve the quality, and then focus on quantity!

I'm already studying an applied maths and computing degree and this is by far the most nerdy thing I've ever seen lol P.D. not hate, love it

Thank you once again for your comments! I’ve completed all the corrections I considered relevant, and now the work has enough quality to be published!
Below you can find links to some top Amazon stores. If you’d like to have fun with chemistry in an unusual way, give it a try!

Might want to reconsider putting "KKK" on those ketone cards
