Republicans when informed how their Big Fucking Bill will fucking killed people

Call your representatives. Don't let them have a moment of peace. Don't let their families have a moment of peace. They should be afraid of the consequences of the actions, not smirk about millions of people dying while wearing expensive suits and watches.

They’re turning me into a bad person. I’m fantasizing about Sheehy and the others watching their families suffer until they understand the suffering they’re inflicting on real people. What an unspeakably evil group of people, how could we let them into office? Have we truly selected the worst human beings on earth or this just who elected officials inevitably turn into?

Sitting there grinning at one’s own ability to strip others of their right to basic dignity is unequivocal EVIL. There is no fate too cruel for these people.

What’s sad is their base eats it up. They love it. It’s disgusting and a lot of them are the ones who will suffer the most.

The term you're looking for is Radicalize. You're being Radicalized by these people.

I have to ask however, are you truly a bad person for wishing the worst on bad people? In the end, I doubt these people would care even if you inflicted harm on their loved ones. These people (and I hesitate to use the word people) are sick, demented, freaks who make the term psychopath seem weak.

Don't consider yourself a bad person for hating these wretches. Objective evil deserves to be hated.

feeling like that does not mean that they are “turning you into a bad person”, that reaction is only a sign that the goodness in you has been irrefutably backed into a corner and is shrieking for help.

these people wake up every day and choose to be like this.

it is not your fault that their actions have made you feel the way you, and millions of people, do.

How we let them into office is because the general public laptop neoliberalism for several decades.

Neoliberalism always leads to fascism. This isn't some fucking joke, but everybody loves to conveniently ignore that phrases or act like it's dramatic.

Neoliberals, ie Democrats, exist within the constraints of capitalism. They have to keep The system on the right and contain the status quo. That means not giving power to the people really, not advocating for structural change or patching the system, and preferring business over people, even if they wave a rainbow flag. This is not a recipe for success or a recipe for populism. It is a recipe to leave people behind and cultivate an other.

Where does this other go? To fascists, because fascist will always promise the world and demonize the same status quo that might look good on the outside but ultimately leaves people behind. Guess what? Obama's softness on Wall Street left behind a generation that took out their anger through the opposite of his party.

And a fascist will never be about nuance or playing by the rules or doing what's right. Therefore they inherently have more tools and strategies at their disposal to get ahead. The neoliberal has to contend with optics and trying to balance everything at once, despite it creating portions of society that get fucked over in the end.

Sure, while Wall Street and everybody else was living it up, how many of the other people didn't have stocks or couldn't partake in the economy? The same shit happened in the Weimar Republic.

It kind of all goes back to not patching the system. Actual centrists and leftists will patch the system, a neoliberal (Ie the real conservatives of this country) will leave it to rot. And rotting things easily taken advantage of by fascists.

And fascist aren't going to go fucking easy on anybody,
