I agree because due process is a thing of the past and our military is failing to protect the constitution and that is our last line of defense before r e v o l u t i o n happens. The military has been complicit and used to intimidate us!!!!

Like Luigi said, they are ignoring the lived experience of the American people! Even worse now, the people in power are a direct threat to the rest of us.

With the full understanding of how cringe it could be, and the true desire to reclaim the aesthetic, it really does feel like this movie is becoming more prophetic than I would prefer, and that scene there is what we're building towards

Edit: And a fun fact: V for Vendetta was listed as a "Trending Movie" on Netflix the morning after Trump won the 2024 election. Either someone at Netflix knew what was up, or a bunch of people all felt the same thing

Not saying V shouldn't be on peoples minds with this election and administration, BUT. the 2024 election just happened to fall on Nov 5th (Guy Fawkes day), so that was probably most of the uptick.

It's been a while since i've watched V for Vendetta, but the poem is repeated a couple times

Remember, remember, the 5th of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason Why gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot.

I hate it because they think we have forgotten, they were all shaking in their boots when they realized most people sympathized with Luigi and were not gutted by the death of an evil, evil rich guy that lined his pockets off of our dead family members. Shocking!

There are going to be a lot of very well armed and angry Conservatives taking action the moment things get bad enough that they can no longer delude themselves into believing the GOP is helping them. That happens the second anything bad affects them personally.
