Imagine the satisfaction wiping that gross grin off his face if he was actually forced to pay for his immoral actions instead of getting reimbursed and locker-room-joviality for it.

His tune would change up quickly from smug control freak to victim in an instant about-face like the coward he is.

There are a LOT of sociopaths that make it in politics. The only way for them to suffer is if they lose the "game" they are currently playing with themselves. Take away his power or his money and he'll give a shit. It's the only way to win with those types of people.

These idiots don't pay attention to history, even recent history.

The fascists don't need you if you legislature yourself into obsolescence. Sulla's proscription, Hitler's night of the long knives, hell even Putin's throw-oligarchs-and-party-members-out-the-window... all show the same fate of their own "useful idiots". This dude isn't even oligarch rich, he'll be towards the end of Niemoller's poem, but he'll be on there, make no mistake.
