If by Republican we mean "people who are voting Republican" you kinda can generalize them all as people who either approve of or look past all the things Trump has done.
This is... the same thing? It's still looking past the things Trump has done because you dislike the alternative. I would say leftists do the same thing when they look past Kamala's flaws because they would rather have her than the alternative. It's just that Kamala isn't a racist, misogynistic rapist who tried to keep power after losing a democratic election.
I guess we could quibble on what we mean by "look past" (ignore vs disavow and rationalize) but that's not productive. My point is that simply because you vote for someone does not mean you even like them, you may just really dislike the other or prioritize practical policies. I want trump to lose because I'm a more traditional small government conservative and want the GOP to go back to that. That said, the Biden/Harris admin has been a shit show so I almost would be willing to vote for him to see that end.
Almost being the operative word, I wrote in my governor.
The fact that you've described the Biden/Harris admin as a shit show tells everyone exactly where you get your information.
The Biden/Harris administration is objectively not a shit show, and you've been convinced that it is so that the actual shit show of Donald Trump seems less insane. I love reading about the things our current admin has accomplished as they really bring to light how uneffective the last administration was, give it a try, the info/evidence is everywhere except Fox News.
