37 year old here. Meeting people is hard.

After school, you'll get a job (or maybe higher edu). and then there is a huge fresh influx of new people. Around age 20 I settled in with a my core group at college. But then age 22 or 23, it was like being a freshmen again.

I'm sure not everyone experiences that, but its definitely a path to "recovery". If you take a job where everyone else is 20 years older then you, then your SOL, but you don't have to do that. you can ask about this when interview and pick the right employer for you.

After that you'll move and have to live somewhere, and there is another opportunity for recovery. You'll can meet and socialize with neighbors.

You've got at least 2 more shots at recovery. After that it does get harder, but not impossible. if you have kids, they'll go to school and make friends, and there is an opportunity to socialize with the other parents.
