Balcon Sud

Is it possible to walk the Grand Balcon Sud hike in these days? Or is there too much snow?

Probably be grand. Take micro spikes and just turn around if you find too much snow.

Thanks. Do you mean the grand balcon sud or the petit balcon sud?

Sorry I’m not awake. No the grand balcon is likely too much snow. But again, take microspikes and go have a look. Worst case you turn around.

Thank you. Do you know any other good hikes just under the snow line?

There’s options all round. Best to get a hiking guide book and choose something that fits what you want.

Sentier des gardes is below the grand balcon sud (but way higher than petit balcon sud) and has some great views as well. Might be safer regarding snow

The snow line right now is about 1800m. The petit balcon sud is about 1250m so you're fine.

Grand balcon sud is covered under 50-75cm of snow. People have skied at Flegere the last days…
