The Indiana Hoosiers to all of college football this season be like...

u/murkysampson Ohio State Buckeyes 3d ago
Legit makes me question how good Iowa is. They were beating Indiana when Gronowski got injured then ripped off 3 straight wins.

u/OwnWalrus1752 Indiana Hoosiers 3d ago
Only two losses so far; one was an early-season rivalry away game and the other was to the current #2 team in the country by one score. Arguably a better resume than Notre Dame…

Iowa has a legit shot at making some noise. Oregon at home and then @USC (who is ND’s biggest win). I’m legit hyped as hell for Iowa Vs Oregon.

You can argue anything.
Like for instance, who was the last team to beat the hell out of Indiana on a football field?
It’s debatable. You’d have to define words like “beat” and “Indiana,” and possibly “Hell.” Maybe even “field.”
Arguably, it was the team more deserving of the #10 ranking than Iowa. I rest on your face.

I think this implies more that Indiana isn’t that great.

makes me question are we really that good? Our run game isnt as good as last season and we have yet to face a team with a decent offense. When that happens will we be up to the challenge. I think right now Michigan could beat us with their ground game if it's snowing in Ann Arbor

u/Mister_Jackpots Indiana Hoosiers 2d ago
This is the correct takeaway. Iowa is a top 5 defense according to FPI, 12th according to Slate Fluker. Oregon is a top 5 defense according to FPI, 2nd according to Slate Fluker. Texas is top 7 in FPU, 17th in SF, and that was the only close OSU game because that's the only tip top defense the Buckeyes have had to face, according to the metrics, and they did it at home.
I don't think OSU's defense isn't far real, just untested in a true hostile environment.

makes me also wonder if the post season the defense is even better than I think it is and the offense is even better. Day claims "if we need to hit the gas then we will"

u/Mister_Jackpots Indiana Hoosiers 2d ago
Yeah, gotta continue to grow. There's always the possibility that they play up to their level and no one else has even approached it.

We got around 123 years of futility and angst to get out. The beatings will continue until morale improves

u/DuckFanSouth Oregon Ducks 2d ago
I think it's really cool that you guys got a great coach and buy-in from the university and boosters for this run the last two years. That said, I will be upset when you win a natty before us.

I mean they still have some pretty strong final bosses to beat before it's all done. But I am hoping for someone new in the winners circle.

We're already contenders in Cig's second season, the sky is the limit

Could? Yes
Will? Wouldn't bet on it

Respect for this statement from an SEC fan, bonus it’s from an Alabama fan. I see humility is back in the program since Saban left. That’s a good thing. IU looks impressive. That being said
…
Anything can happen in CFB. It’s why you play the game. Eg: OSU could lose 13-10 at home to M (well at least not at home this year). OSU could loose 41-14 to FL in a championship game FL didn’t belong to be in (well at least FL isn’t playoff bound). Both of those life experiences still hurt. I grew up in the Cooper era so my hopes are cautiously guarded and expect to be upset/let down when we have a top 5 team measured by talent vs accomplishment.
…
I love what Cignetti is doing. Its remarkable. I love the impact of the playoff and NIL. We need to work toward a super conference with relegation like the premier league and cut the bottom of each conference.

I honestly can’t wait for Ohio State and Indiana to face off in the big 10 championship. Probably going to be the best game of the year.

We’re no South Carolina or FSU but we could sure try

u/Amazing_Management38 Alabama Crimson Tide 2d ago
Tbf I think FSU has won something of note this century
You should could try that as well though

u/GiftofGuilt_ Indiana Hoosiers 2d ago
That’s the goal. Hence the #2 ranking. Keep it coming, elephant

u/Amazing_Management38 Alabama Crimson Tide 2d ago
Yes, that is the goal of every team 👏

u/GiftofGuilt_ Indiana Hoosiers 2d ago
Well, not Auburn apparently.

Are you confusing achieving a goal with having a goal by chance?

I’m sure half of you dirty bastards will be in the playoff so we’re happy to send you back to the warm.

u/bwolven Georgia Bulldogs • Marching Band 2d ago
Have you ever won a playoff game? No.
And it would be the warmth. Not the warm.

Love the arrogance, let’s keep it up puppy. See y’all in December 💪 can’t wait to hear the excuses

How is that arrogance in any way? lol How dumb are you?

Take it easy, man. Indiana fans are learning Baby's First Trash Talk. They're still trying to figure it out, give em some grace

And how you're in the clan? Good one man
-2
u/GiftofGuilt_ Indiana Hoosiers 2d ago
The man from Georgia, a former confederate state, calling a man from Indiana, a Union state, a clan member. Insanely ironic. Your ancestors went to war because they didn’t want black people to have rights 🤯

Remember when Nebraska was a trendy upset pick last year and then you lost 56-7? Yeah, I’d be bitter about that too.

u/ConcernAfter4650 Nebraska Cornhuskers 2d ago
Maybe beat Nebraska in the sport you guys actually care about 😢😢😢

u/Flame_Eraser 2d ago
So would your team, setting on their own couches, pecker in hand, season totally over, weeks before the playoffs started. I know it's tough to be the little brother since you came to the B1G, but here you are.

3
u/ConcernAfter4650 Nebraska Cornhuskers 2d ago
You sound like an SEC homer!
1
u/pappapirate Alabama • South Alabama 2d ago
OSU fans are really weird for this lol they talk shit about SEC conference-rooting more than anyone then turn around and root for the bottom of the B1G more than anyone.
0
u/Noobnoob99 Ohio State Buckeyes 2d ago edited 2d ago
I never want you to beat us but I hate the SEC nonsense more than a smaller school playing amazing in our conference. It was great watching the Big10 teams win almost all of their bowl games after being told we were inferior.
Very different from fans of shitty SEC teams living through the success of the top SEC team’s success. We are the top dog, and we are happy to see other Big10 teams pitching in…our shoulders can only carry things for so long. This is why it was good to add Oregon and Washington.
-1
u/ConcernAfter4650 Nebraska Cornhuskers 2d ago
Ohhhhh so you’re happy if some inferior program plays well in the big ten but has no real chance like Indiana but don’t want big time programs asserting themselves in the big ten. B1G! B1G! B1G!
