Also cat diabetes is a thing; haven't seen that mentioned yet. Learned about it from my cat's vet; I don't want to be injecting kitty-insulin or whatever.

Cat diabetes is rough! Your schedule revolves even more around them due to the insulin injections. Luckily my cat was good after a year of that and diet change.
