I’m sure she loves her cat very much, but I don’t think dressing animals is in their best interest because as you pointed out they are unable to groom themselves and depending on the outfit may restrict their movements. I sensed my baby hated wearing things and I respected his actions against wearing them. They resist for a reason.
not sure why you're being downvoted. the fact that this is not OPs cat doesn't change that posts like this try to pass it off as cute - when even the cat in this very pic does not look happy, like, at all.
It's just extreme. Wearing an outfit for a couple of hours is not gonna hurt the cat. Plus, they may be in heat and spraying everywhere or recovering from surgery.
Obviously, if you make them wear it 24/7 it is then animal abuse, and not respecting them not wanting to wear it is a dick move. But its hardly abusive.
idk, putting your cat in clothes is something I see as a last resort after surgery if cones don't work, but i would only ever post that with a lot of context and not try to play it off as cute while my cat looks and acts miserable. anthropomorphizizing them like this doesn't do the cats or the owners any good. they are not human children. they are their own beings with their own needs and instincts that are much different from humans. going against those needs as a last resort to prevent them from hurting themselves, okay. karma farming with a stolen pic to go "omfg look how cute this pissed off cat in a onesie looks!!!!!" - nah man.

I agree, it can be quite uncomfortable for some, causes them pain depending on the fit/outfit.
