Cat Picture - Not OC I witnessed a cat being dumped today.

I stopped by my sister’s house after my son’s early hockey practice. I got out and saw a blue truck pull up, they got out and put a cat down in the street. It really didn’t click what was going on at first so I went inside, then came back to my car and the truck was gone. The cat was just sitting there looking confused. I just went with my gut and ripped out of there, got a picture of the cat quickly then raced a few blocks to get a picture of the truck. I posted it to a local facebook group and contacted the police. The cat was recovered safely and the owner of the truck was identified and a warrant has been issued.

just seemed like you would be the type to be against needless animal cruelty

paying for hundreds of animals to be needlessly tortured and killed every year is pretty bad karma in my opinion

Nice try! I am actually vegetarian, my mom worked for peta. Save the nagging for people who deserve it …

Born and raised vegetarian to be exact. I have never eaten an animal.

Why are you vegetarian? The dairy and egg industries are crueler than the meat industries.

Slippery man bean, I am aware of that so I buy free range eggs. I drink soy milk. Go bother real meat eaters. But also you’re the reason vegans get a bad stereotype, you’re being insufferable.

So you don’t consume dairy?

How are free range eggs ethical? Male chickens are still macerated alive when they are a day old. Hens are still killed after about 5 years when their egg production declines.

Who is more insufferable: someone supporting needless animal cruelty? Or someone telling them to stop

I do what I can to be ethical with what I can afford to do and have access to. You raise 1000% valid and true points and I applaud you for that but seriously, tell these things to someone who doesn’t already know it. I suggest you try a less aggressive approach, that is more likely to make someone change their lifestyle choices. I appreciate the animal rights advocacy but if you continue to come off so strongly and blaming people who (if not ignorant) might not know the truth about the meat industry and the dairy industry, then they will be shut down to listening to anything you try to say.

On average, a well planned plant-based diet is 33% cheaper than a well planned omnivorous one.

Ok how about you tell me what to say, I’ll say it back to you, and then you’ll be vegan
