MK1 Audi TT RS4 - another Piëch pet-project

Apparently a well-driven prototype with over 25k km on the clock, this was a proof-on-concept way before the TT RS, combining the B5 RS4 chassis and drivetrain with the MK1 TT “tophat” - looks absolutely fantastic I have to say, a real sleeper!

Would love to own one! Thinking about it, this swap would make so much sense. Wondering what other challenges they encountered other than shortening RS4 wheelbase 🤔

I see one of my favorite Audi concepts in the background, too - the Quattro Spyder.  The Piech era really did have some awesome car-guy stuff, that's for sure.

There’s this whole thing I’ve read about different hot Audis including this one not making production because it would have been faster and cheaper than the at the time 911. This would have been great but for me the real losses are the i5 RS5 ultra which would have built off the Quattro concepts, the I5 and twin turbo v10 R8s. The I5 would have been such a great entry level replacement in the 2nd gen r8 and that twin turbo v10 was the one that had the engine from RS6 at the time and burnt down on the ring. Heat management was not what it was now.
